Help dreamers get a good night's rest!

How does your game tie into the theme?

This game gave me the same feeling that playing poptropica did when I was growing up, I loved all of the art, and the minigames were super fun.

Submitted

Lovely game!
The handcrafted artwork is super cute and the minigames are simple enough to understand! I think if the whole game was handdrawn in the way the minigames were, I would've rated graphics way higher. Consistency is key in art direction! I also wish there were more games! You had good designs!
I'm sure your team's workflow will speed up with experience! Keep it up guys, you got a good concept there!

Developer(+1)

Thanks playing our submission and for the feedback! Our intention was to have the "real world" be in 3D and have the "dreams" be hand drawn to capture the transition between the two states. It sounds like that wasn't effective, so we will keep that in mind for future games as an opportunity to improve.

really good, love the town and the drawn art.

like the minigames and love the little details like the eyes shutting for transitions.

like that you can try again or not.

great work!

Thank you so much for playing our submission and highlighting the things you enjoyed!

Very ambitious, attempting a variety of mini-games. That's three times the work as making a single game.

Developer

Yeah, we definitely talked about that in our team's retrospective  😅 It was a learned lesson for us to not have so much work next time. Thank you for playing our submission!

I love the minigame collection idea! my favorite was the sliding puzzle one! Also the intro song is really good! Great work!!

Developer

Thanks so much for the comment on the sliding game! We weren't sure how popular that one would be, so it's a huge compliment to hear that it was your favorite 😊

Nice entry. You commented on my game that you limited my ratings because the use of AI is against the rules. I only used it because, I read the jam website and the rules wasn't up-to-dated there. The moderators already explained on the discussion tab that I'm not going to be eliminated due to this confusion. I deleted your comment because I didn't want to encourage others to do the same, but I really like your feedbacks, they where very helpful. Can you reconsider update my rate after these facts?

Developer

Hey, thanks for reaching out and glad to hear that was cleared up with the admins. I'm happy to update my scores! Unfortunately, I don't have the original comment, so I won't repost the summary I had. Thank you for playing our submission!

I think it was better for all if gave up the Jam after all that happened and so I did, but thanks anyway

Developer(+1)

Sorry to hear that. It's unfortunate that the rules were not up to date and that there wasn't a follow up on the discord to clarify for ratings for this jam either.  It feels like this could have been prevented with communication 😔

Neat minigame, could use some sfx for the gameplay while doing some actions like moving the blocks though.

Developer

Thank you for playing our submission and the callout on the SFX. I can definitely see how having it would help with player feedback on those actions and make it feel even better when moving tiles around.

Submitted

Great music and great idea , overall very well done and polished , i would have just preferred the minigames to be a little more difficult.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback and for specifying about the difficulty on the minigames. That will help us tune difficulty curves for games in the future. Cheers!

Submitted

This is a really fun idea! I especially like the eye-closing transition, that's a very clever and fitting way to switch between the different scenes. Great job!

Developer

Thank you for the call out on that! Our aim was to try to capture the essence of the theme, so it's great to hear that it came through 😊

Submitted

Respect to have made more than one game in one. It's solidly executed and super simple to understand. I'm personally impressed with the quality of the music. Well done :)

Thanks for the shout outs and for taking the time to play our submission!

Soundtrack was really solid. Minigames were fun enough. The art style felt a little at odds with itself sometimes but still charming. amogus dress up

Developer(+1)

We appreciate the feedback on the music and art. Thank you for playing our submission!

Neat minigame compilation with charming graphics and music! The first two were my favorites while the balloon one could definitely be improved if the hand went faster or if you could hold a button to move faster. Good game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for leaving the feedback! It sounds like  you're suggesting having an overall faster speed for that game or having a sprint button of sorts  to toggle between two modes of speed.

Submitted(+1)

Pretty much something like the run button in the Super Mario platformers.

Developer(+1)

Got it, that clarification helps. Thank you!

Submitted

In the baloon minigame you can go to the uper border of the screen and pass above the obstacles. Some out of bounds obstacle could solve that. Asides from that very funny minigames. I think the music really helps to create a good mood.

Developer

Thanks for playing our submission and for the callout on the out of bounds issue!

Submitted

The best unique approach ! Really fun mixes between 2D and 3D, the small simple yet fun, engaging mini-games ! Brilliant, best of good luck

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing our entry and for highlighting your favorite aspects 😊

Submitted

It's really fun to play those mini games. Graphics are cute and music creates the ambience. Nice work.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much!

Submitted

Nice entry! I liked the idea and how it ties into the theme. The mini games were fun, but I really wish they were more challenging or had more nuance to them.

Developer

Thank you for playing our entry and for taking the time to   provide    feedback!

Submitted

I love the cute art style and the variety of content. I especially liked the balloon minigame.

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play our game and for leaving a comment!

Submitted

Really good entry! I kept accidentally restarting a mini game I had finished, perhaps no would have been a better default upon game completion. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you! It makes sense that "Try Again" could default yes, and "Play Again" could default no. Thank you for the suggestion and feedback on that.

Fun little game, oddly similar to my own team's submission! I'm impressed you folks submitted something this complete, when it was only your second jam or so! Congrats! I think the main thing I'd suggest as a way to make things a bit cleaner is to ensure that your on/off states on buttons look like they're on or off more dramatically: there were points where I found myself hitting a button to play a game but as it turned out that was the off button so it went back to the main menu. But, in all, this game was very fun! Good stuff! Keep it up.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! It sounds like we need to focus a little bit more on UX to  make it more clear.
