Game Description
On the way to your next watch, you crash land, stranded. And to make things worse, you've forgotten parts of your past. Now, you have to survive while looking for a way to escape, but you feel that there's something important that you've forgotten, something vital for your escape.

How does your game tie into the theme?
After crash landing, you become hazy and forget about your past. Stranded, you have to survive and recollect your memories, while trying to figure out a way to escape.

Fabulous presentation and nice story. I enjoyed exploring the environment and trying to figure out how to escape, but in the end it was actually fairly easy for me to finish the game (maybe I just got lucky with random events?).

I was a little confused about how the map worked - every time I looked, it seemed mostly empty / hadn’t changed since I discovered anything? I didn’t really need the map anyway, so it was okay but I wondered if I was missing something there.

The control scheme threw me off a little, I might have preferred a click-to-move system. Also, the cold from not moving sometimes seemed to tick down when I wouldn’t expect, like while the map/journal were open and maybe once during a cutscene? Still, it wasn’t too hard to keep warmth since the gauge was pretty forgiving.

Overall, nice work! With a bit of expansion to the world I think this would be a fun survival game with good replayability!

Very beautiful art in this one! A bit too much text for my liking. It would have been nice to have TL;DR, where the game mechanics are explained and stand out from the story text.

I also had problems getting into my head how WASD mapped to the isometric directions.

Cool game! Bear got me a couple of times, did shoot down some other predators though :)

Note to self, don’t try to triangle lock a bear.

What a great game! Fantastic use of the theme, beautiful artwork, appropriate music. Just lots of fun to play!

Well done!

Really fun game!

The sound and imagery are very relaxing, also there are really well-made pixel art here, really impressive!

The experience itself was very good, never thought I'd have the option to throw a jiutjitsu move when facing a huge animal.

Congrats!!

What a relaxed and beautiful experience. The art and music was very charming and the sounds were also pretty smooth. I just had some troubles to read the font fast, esp. since it had a lot of story. Good Job seeing how the great effort of a bigger team coming together!

This is very impressive! This project has lots of potential - really not much i can think for it to make better.

Hi everyone,

Congrats on your entry! Really loved the atmosphere of the game, the pixel art illustrations and sound effects are amazing, good job! :)

The story is nice as well, it was a short yet great experience.

For me, the controls were a bit confusing though with WASD keys. Somehow it felt inconsistent where the character goes when I press a direction.

nice stuff! like the map & sfx and whole feel of it

I tried this game after reading how it's similar to ours.  Lovely aesthetics and a nicely laid-out story.  I definitely loved how events looked with the text box and the pixel art illustrations as photos framed next to them (Wish we had made something similar for some events in our game). Also, I was really jealous of the journal UI and the automapping.
Regardless it's great work. Short, simple, I got to the ending without trying much and thankfully there was a journal to re-read notes from previous events because I wasn't storing much information in my brain earlier on.
I didn't really feel pressured by the hunger, as I was constantly getting loads of it from random sources. The chirping birds were a nice touch to set up the atmosphere and the music itself was sublime.

Maybe I misremembered but I tried out the password from the memories and it didn't work. Is there some way to replay the memories?

Besides that this was fantastic! Beautiful artwork and music, solid gameplay, great all around.

Thanks for playing our game and bringing this to our notice. We've added more information on the description page in case anyone else gets stuck.

Finally got a chance to play properly, but I still ended up getting stuck. I collected various supplies including the climbing gear, alternator, battery and rifle but there didn't appear to be anything else left to do. I would have loved to see the end so I may come back and give it another go since I possibly just arrived at the triangle too early.

Either way the atmosphere was wonderful. The music and exceptional art really helped to drive home the wilderness survival feel. All the various events and their options were interesting and entertaining.

It's funny but by some coincidence there's another entry (Once Summoned) that's very similar in terms of aesthetic and gameplay -- something about this theme just inspires this style I guess! :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks! We've now updated the game description to help if anyone is stuck with the game progression. Your early feedbacks has helped us a lot.

I haven't gotten the free time to play the other entries yet, but will definitely check out Once Summoned later.

Came back to this one a third time and finally got to see the end! It feels like the journal could have helped with a little more guidance when they player is stuck. I had thought that the darkness in the underground was a hint that I needed a light when all I really needed to do was visit the helicopter. I loved the writing and presentation, really well done!

This is fantastic! High scores all around. Very nitpicky but I found the controls a bit awkward, up left never felt intuitive to me and never quite clicked, but it wasn't bad enough to not enjoy the game. Also I think the player character could have had a different outline or slightly different shade to pop a bit more against the background.

Beyond those I loved this game, the audio and art style were very well done. I was having a great time playing but ran into a bug where the game froze. I had the map open and moved at the same time which triggered an event that I couldn't click to close. Sadly I had to quit the game. If I have time to come back and play again I will because I want to see how the game ends. (and that is rare for me to want to come back and play more)

Thanks for playing! I too found the controls a bit weird but I guess its a weakness of isometric games. Also thanks for the feedback on the player sprite!

Very cool game, and it seems to be executed so cleanly :)

Reminds me of Zork in all the best ways. It's a wonderful story to explore and the mechanics kept it fun :)

Wish there was some kind of ambience other than the occasional (friggin majestic) music track.

Thanks for playing!

I really love the art style of the game, the front cover of the game is amazing. I finally got to use my blackbelt in the game on the doggo hehe :)

Yo bro, good game, refreshingly pixel.

Was angry because the tree broke on me, but I'll forgive you because of the doggo.

Thanks for playing! Doggos always good

Like some others I got stuck so I'll be watching for an update. So far though very impressive! The graphics are very stylish and clean and there seems to be a lot to see and do. Love the high degree of polish!
