It honestly doesn't take much for a horror game to spook me, but this one was pressing all the right buttons. Admittedly, I didn't get very far. I think I found one note outside camp before I got stuck in some trees and couldn't go any further.

Very interesting with the light sources, they really look good in this game and set the atmosphere really well.
I liked the mechanic with switching between the light sources and exploring the area, really think you did a great job on this game!
Nice one, guys. Cool idea about lighting matches in a hurry.
Would definitely benefit from moar sfx for monster!
Like others have pointed out, I got stuck on on the terrain and struggled with the matches, but then all of a sudden I lit every match perfectly after I figured out what was the strike zone. AFAIK, there weren't jump-scares but high tension, which I like. I also would have liked to turn faster to more easily sweep with the flashlight. I tried a few times but just ended up at the original camp like a chump.
So nice to hear someone got the hang of the matches haha
And thanks, high tension is defs what we were going for, IVe never been too much of a jump scare guy. Yeah, turn speed is something we will address once we get some good testing going.
and a little more guidance on where to go will be next up.
Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
I got stuck in a tree or something? I like the different effects of light sources in the game.
nice entry, I liked the story telling :) took me a bit to understand the light sources, but it worked out pretty well in the end!
super cool! i escaped on my second playthrough :D the matches were pretty hard to light tho, i couldn't get my lantern going again even once
Good atmosphere as others have said. I had a little bit of success with the matches, but either they are unreliable or the timing required is really tight, went through like six matches in a row trying to light the torch and failed. Also a little bit of signposting early on would go a long way; I saw the monster in the dark once, but otherwise my playtime was mostly rubbing my face against walls in an attempt to find where to go
Made it out with my last match, good game, did have to restart once after getting stuck on the terrain though
Love the atmosphere and the look of the game, that said I could not make the match light up, probably me not getting something, still congrats guys you did a great job
