Excellent audiovisual polish, very slick with all the bells and whistles-- though I basically had to turn the postprocessing down a notch if I was going to read all that text. Feels like a single player riff on "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes", which is one of my favorite party videogames of the last ten years. The timer felt a little tight given that I was seeing minigames for the first time ever near the end of my 20 minutes-or-so run, but overall a great job.

Visually and aesthetically, extremely polished. I felt a lil overwhelmed by all the text I had to read which put me off a little bit.
Overall a super nice and polished production. I'm impressed! (just not by my own skills with cracking the numbers!)
Really cool game. Everything feels very polished and it all works well together. Considering this was made in only a week - Absolutely Insane.
I might be stupid, but I couldn’t figure out what “Exceeds Threshold” meant. I wasn’t sure if this number was meant to be considered, or not, and so that made guessing a little challenging haha.
Overall, really good entry. Well done!
I could list everything but I think it's just a complete package overall. I'm not good at guessing the numbers, but the whole thing is just good, and I'll save it to play later for sure
Feels like a complete game. The visuals, the animations and the audio are perfectly made and come together very nicely.
The puzzles felt cool, but not sure how I feel about the number puzzle. The ones with 5 numbers felt like they were too dependent on luck. It could be that I'm just too stupid, but it seemed like there weren't enough attempts to reliably solve it.
But overall this is by far the most polished game I've reviewed so far. I think it might even have potential for a commercial release.
Hello! Have to say I had a lot of trouble with the number wordle puzzle. Very color blind, couldn't tell the difference between the yellow and the green at all, even with the post processing off. Random colors threw me for a loop too. Couldn't even get through the vm.. smh. Beautiful game though, and great concept.
Very nice looking game! A lot of reading to get into it, but I've stashed the game away to play and give more attention after the jam :)
The Game looks SO good, amazing job!! I love how much work you put into your itch page as well! It looks crazy good (Even a custom cursor!?) I know how hard it is to get gifs to line up, so I appreciate the scrolling background on the itch page as well. And about the game, it looks like it could be an actual game on Steam with the amount of polish it has. Some feedback I have; it’s a little hard to read the hack manual because of the font and the glitch shader so maybe turn that down a little at least when you’re looking at the manual. My other thing was not as important, but if you wanted to update or work on the game later, maybe think about adding more visuals to the manual instead of words, I think that would help players understand the game and things faster.
Thank you <3
About the itch page, it's a custom css code for styling. If you're interested I can tell you more about it. It's not that complicated l once you understand how it works XD
About the readability, you can decrease the post processing effects in the settings menu.
Lastly, it would be really cool if I could make something more like markdown input in the manual with actual tables, lists, etc. That's actually a really good suggestion! I'll see what I can do about it after the jam ends!
Again, thank you so much!
Great use of the "hacker" simulator! I loved the punchy visuals and great sound design to boot. I enjoyed the mechanics as well! Personally I don't love to read through stuff but I figured the mechanics out in the end. I do think that for the password guessing game (which, by the way, I thought you did pretty well spinning Wordle into a mechanic) the colors were a little confusing, i.e. I thought green meant good and yellow meant displaced but after figuring things out I got pretty far! Amazing work.
Thank you!
I have to agree that I took some high risks for this jam. But I'm glad you managed to understand the game in the end :D
About the colors, they are random. If they were'nt, the player could just memorize the manual, and I tried my best to prevent that from happening with every puzzle.
Again, thank you for your feedback ;)
