Nice little cinematic cutscene story with a twist at the end.

The music does a great job of creating a dramatic ambiance, and the visuals of everything going wrong add to the sense of despair—you can really feel the hopelessness. The clock ticking also enhanced that.
Visually, it’s also well-polished and pleasing to watch.
The twist at the end completed the whole thing pretty nicely

Overall this is a cool entry for our cutscene jam. Well done!

Cool entry, nice work!! I loved the twist ending when he pulls the knife out of his own back, thus saving the world, really caught me by surprise and made for a nice ending. The artstyle is really cool and easy on the eyes, the CRT effect especially was a nice touch. Color palette rocks too. Sound design and music is solid. My big critique was with the AGAIN! text popping up in between scenes. One of my pet peeves is when games (cutscenes in this case) spoon feed me information. I think if you cut those text transitions out and just showed the changes to the clock and our hero and let the viewer deduce for themselves that time is restarting it would make for a much more powerful watch. That way the viewer feels like they solved a puzzle rather than told something. But thats just my opinion. I thought this was a cool watch (no pun intended) with a neat premise and great execution. The art is stellar and the ending was too. Great job everybody!!

Thank you so much for your feedback! :D
I can tell by the way you made your scene that telling things in a subtle way is a big strength of yours. :D

I often had problems with some of my stories being too abstract for JAM-audience though (like tower of hearts). Thank you for watching!

Aww thank you very much for the compliment lol, I really appreciate that. And I hear you about jams though it's tough to find a balance, and you probably made the right call about keeping things less abstract. Keep up the great work!!

What a nice short story. Very creepy but very well told and a cool twist ending.

A very cool short story, I feel bad for the hero, but this is very fitting for a sad ending for a game.

What a fantastic scene! The artwork is beautifully done and adds an tense atmosphere to the whole experience. In particular, I loved the protagonist’s expressions and movements, especially the last one before meeting his own demise

The way real time rendering was demonstrated was also very well implemented, a great job on that

The music blends perfectly with the rest of the aesthetics, elevating the experience to another level. Without a doubt, a wonderful and incredible piece of work

Ok, definitely one of the best ones! I can see it as an bad ending in an adventure game. Really liked the cinematography, and the atmosphere. You really managed to express the "loosing your mind while stuck in the time loop" aspect of this!

Thank you :D I just posted on your Scene as well.

This cutscene is awesome. I've only played a couple so far, but I feel this is definitely going to be one of the highest rated ones. Story and cinematography where well done, and the art of course. As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I had to click it :)

Might have had a glitch the first time around. In the third loop, right before the trees caught fire, it just kinda froze on that scene for an extended period of time. I actually wondered if it was the end of the video. Played a second time and that did not happen. It's possible I clicked the screen before the glitch.
