Cool hard game :-)!
It was for certain a hard an difficult game for me (just me being bad at this kind of game), but I imagine that was part of the challenge in this game. Did manage to slay 1 boss at least :-). Nice visual pixel art style with bloom. Basic shapes and colors but still in style for the whole game and visually pleasing.
Liked the audio also and the beat fitted well with the frantic fighting gameplay. The volume buttons in the game were an unique and fun idea :-)!
Had fun playing and trying to defeat the bosses! (Maybe a walkthrough video how to defeat all bosses would be nice for us participants that did not make it ;-)...)
No UI is checked and theme also slightly checked but ok.
Overall a well done fighting game as someone already said..souls like :-)! Nice job!

Great game! I love the visual style, the concept, the music and the theme. I was especially pleased with the implementation of ZERO UI (volume buttons are very creative LOL).
I want to note that unfortunately I was only able to reach the second boss (I'm too much of a casual player). I would like that after the jam, not only bosses, but also regular enemies would appear in your game (if you already have them, please correct me). It would also be cool if the game added something like character development and random generation. These are just my wishes and this will not affect my rating.

game was wayyy to hard, at least add checkpoints. the best thing about the gameplay was probably the variety and attacks and how there was a lil hint before they attacked. i felt extremely unmotivated tho, maybe making it easier esspecielly the first boss and maybe adding a way to see how much hp theres left. this could be done by making it redder but it did feel a lil more intense as it went on. no ui, pretty standard deco but it was cool how you could sorta see it in the dark. the theme didnt feel that involved though but maybe thats just me
I’m sorry that you felt it was too hard, did you get the mechanics right though? After the first 2 bosses you get a checkpoint. The bosses drop particles from their body -> if they drop them faster, that means they are low on health. You can pretty much defeat the first boss by giving him a few hits and then just blocking or dashing away, because the boss is slower then you. While dashing, you are also invincible. Also the light turning on/off is made to make the boss fight less repetitive, which also includes the “lights and shadows” theme.

sorry i never realised some of those mechanics, it is hella hard adding directions with a no ui limitation. the game was still good and ill definitly play it again knowing this
pretty much a 2d souls-like in terms of the difficulty and fighting mechanics. I really like the glow in the dark weapons, although fighting blind is a bit frustrating and I found the best strategy to be running away. Also nice job adding sound control without any UI lol, really cool game overall!

The gameplay is fun. I enjoyed the combat, especially the variation between enemies.
The only thing that felt weird to me about the controls was the dash. I felt that it was a little too long, especially since the player can't change direction while performing it.
Other than that, I had fun and managed to beat it after many attempts!

Gameplay was fun! It also meets the condition of Zero UI. Visuals and audio are very nice. I believe the only thing was missing was theme. Bosses weren't really made for the light conditions. My overall rate is awesome!
Thanks for playing! Also, the light going off adds a bit of variety and as a player you have to remember where the boss is. Furthermore, you see his attacks in the darkness, to predict his attacks even in the dark :)

Thanks for playing! The red and green "enemies?" at the start handle the volume, red = lower; green = higher volume if you hit them! And yeah, the bosses are hard, but you will eventually learn their attacks :)
Nice game, it was fun to play it but i had a problem idk if its me or if its a bug, but after holding block and leaving it (sometimes) i am not able to attack, I need to move and then i am able to attack. Overall it was really good experience!

It took me quite a while to beat but it was very fun! I think it would be nice if there was a checkpoint between each boss, it would make dying on the second boss less frustrating. But I love the variety of enemy attacks and the sweat particles for stamina, it's pretty clever. Good job!

The game looks really good and the attack feels good. I wasn't sure about the lights going out in the boss room. I sort of just ran in circles waiting for the lights to come back on. Not sure if there was a trick I was missing?
There isn't really a trick, you can try to hit the boss while it's dark or you can try running away! Altough running away from bosses with range attacks makes it a bit harder! Thank you for playing!
