This is a fun game, I enjoyed how u use shoot to move which is simple but yet hard to master.

Developer

Thank you so much, I'm really happy you liked it!

Great game! I've seen a few games with a similar concept but this is the most polished by far so amazing work on that. The scaling effect on the UI/Player sprite based on ( I assume ) the player's velocity is great, really sells the effect of speed/momentum. Great job for just 2 days of work.

Developer

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I loved your game too, it was one of my favourites from the whole jam!

The reaction in space is well incorporated into the gameplay. The game is so well implemented that it can be played over and over again.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. Yeah I keep on playing it again and again too so I think that's a good sign.

This is a really challenging game! I can see this being considered a “rage” game (that said by someone who doesn’t normally play rage games), but the difficulty, I think, is very fair! There’s nothing that comes as a surprise and the controls are simple to understand!

I quite enjoy how the asteroids spin when you shoot them! It’s a small touch, but it adds just that little extra to the game! Excellent game!!

Thank you so much. It was really cool and insightful watching you play it and your feedback was great. I've already implemented the viewport aspect ratio mode in my in-progress version :) I'm glad you liked the asteroid hit effect, I had great fun adding those little juicy effects.

Fun game. However having  more fun bouncing around than trying to complete a level :) The only thing lacking is a bouncy tune to accompany the gameplay and then it would be perfect.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah I really wish I had had time to make some music.

Really good game! I found my self playing for like 20min while listening to some YT

Developer(+1)

awesome, I'm really glad!

✔️ Nice art style; fits the simplistic nature of the game.

✔️ One of the more unique takes on the theme I have seen so far. Well done!

➖ Maybe have the character closer to the top of the screen so that it is easier to see what is below you.

Developer

Thank you, that's a great idea. If I work on the game further I'll definitely try that out!

Nice concept! I made it to level 4. I liked the screen effects as you rise and fall faster.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Not bad :D Glad you liked it. I think those screen warping effects have been the most commented about feature and they were a completely accidental side-effect of trying to stretch and squish the player and not realising that would scale the camera and UI too :D

Really cool concept & super fun too, great job!

Thank you very much

Please make this a mobile game. It is reeeeeally good. Congratulations on your entry!

Developer

Thank you, that's a good idea I might do some more with this post-jam.

Nice presentation, intuitive gameplay, and quite challenging.

Developer

Thank you!

HARD but fun :)
Great concept of using your shots to control the descent. Also loved how the UI and character distort as you move the mouse.

I wish I could see from the start where the level goal is, so I could plan better my route and shots.

Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah that's a good idea, I might try something out like that with the gameplay in the future, cheers!

easy to learn, hard to master - the mark of a great mechanic! dope.

Developer

Thank you!

So juicy!! I had a lot of fun playing this, I love how the screen distorted when I decided to try spinning super fast around the orbit, lol.

Developer

Thanks so much! Yeah the screen warp was an unintended side effect of squishing the player by scaling the whole node, that also contained the UI canvas and camera. I didn't realise that until the game was uploaded. I guess it was a happy little accident. Who needs screen shake when you can have screen warp anyways!

That was a cool little concept. You did well, the small window thing was a shame though. Definately had some juice though

Developer

Thanks man! Yeah in hindsight maybe I should have changed from just the small window. I set it up like that from the start and kind of enjoyed it but it's not that user friendly is it... haha

"my personal goals for this jam were to make a game that was Juicy to play, fun and not unbalanced."

And I would say that's achieved ^^.

I'm pretty bad with thoses kind of game so I only went to level 4 but the job is well done, it felt way easier (balanced?) than the version I played during the jam :) (because at least I didn't keep dying in level 2 :D).

Developer

Thanks so much! Yeah those are things that I've massively failed at in my last few jams so I really wanted to improve in those areas, and I think the feedback you guys gave was super important to that, so thank you!
