This is absolutely delightful! It's got a lot of variety in terms of how the PCs are challenged, from wilderness travel to roleplay to moral dilemmas. And you nail the slightly cozy, very creepy, entirely whimsical feel for the fey. Also, I love that the Rain Shepherd is so dang grumpy and unpredictable, that feels very true to real life. If I get to run this at a table I'd sneakily use my phone to play Don't Starve music when the bog lurkers approach from the darkness.

The fantastic art and layout and general style is also a huge bonus, and I love that you photographed the physical components too! Great work all around!

I thought the layout was very well designed here and the art was fantastic.  That little dungeon  map for the Harvest Temple is one of my favorites of the Jam for sure.  Some smart design choices in the adventure relating to making the Hex map a bit more difficult to travel, and having the the catacombs being generated from a table rather than another dungeon map.  Love the little printables too!

Very, very well done.

We loved where you took this and are even more glad there is another Bog monster in the works in this jam! It is beautifully designed, straightforward, and easy to understand with just the right kick of fey elements to get us excited! Read this adventure!!

A Great Adventure, a really fun concept with plenty of stuff jammed in considering the page limit!  The text is concise and readable, the images are in a nice style and communicate the information well and the colour choice pops without being distracting to read. Overall a great job, I feel like I could easily slot this one into any campaign!

Ive been wajting for this one and finally its out of quarantine! The seasonal mechanics are so cool and the monsters slap! Id love to see how it increases tension and the natural pacing it creates. Im big on horror and survival so this is a nobrainer for you!

It's unfortunate this entry has been quarantined. It is quite well put together. I'm not sure if its helpful, but the message says specifically "Password-protecting files or pages is a technique often used by scammers in an attempt to block virus and other security scans from detecting malware."

The artwork and graphic design is all superb, it looks very professional. I thought you did a good job of keeping descriptions down to the most important details.

Thank you so much! I worked hard on squeezing each section on its own page (and had to kill some darlings haha). I’m happy to hear it did not go unnoticed :D.

Yeah I have no idea what the deal is with this quarantine flag. Must have triggered the system somehow, maybe because this is the only entry on my account. As you have seen the PDF is not password protected at all :). I sent support an email but reading from others, it might take weeks before they look into it.

The layout is really well done. Everything is where is needs to be and can be located with a glance. The handouts are a nice touch. Giggled at the concept of a Mugging Fern.

Thanks so much! I’m happy to hear that everything is easy to find for you. It was an important goal for me to not make the GM search or even flip a page to run it.

Loved how the adventure works differently as it moves on to different sections of it. At first glance I thought the obvious choice was to help the people of the Feyworld, but seeing how aggression-inclined they are, I’m not 100% sure! My favorite part about RPG’s are the many choices and I liked the dilemma you pose here!

Developer

Thank you :D I had a lot of fun thinking of different mechanics per section, and adding an extra layer of gray to the story for the PCs to question their morals over.

I think I mentioned it in the Discord, but I really like your Bog Lurker design—calls to mind the shadow creatures of Don't Starve in a great way. Smart choice to include them as printable minis.

Yeah :) thanks! They were fun to put on the table in my playtest, gave it an extra vibe of creepy. So I had to sacrifice half a page to include them.

I got a quarantine message when I went to download?!

Developer(+1)

hey yeah apparently some people get that message, I dont know why! I havent gotten any message or notification. But you should be able to download regardless.

So glad you said that. It is really well done and the vibe is so solid!

Developer(+1)

thank you so much! It looks like the system can auto flag your project as quarantined under certain conditions that are kept secret. I’ll have to wait until itch.io staff unquarantines it, which can take weeks :(.
