Really gives the vibe of a samurai, you only attack swiftly at the right moment. Took me a while to realized that you have to slash three times when yuuki uses his shadows, but once I beat him, man that felt good.
It looked like a good concept but It was too difficult to move since I have a different keyboard. It would have been better to allow Arrow key, I couldn't pass the second enemy :(

The concept is extremely nice! I loved it. Maybe, a little add on you could make that enemies attack only from a shorter range. Now you can "break" the game flow by staying apart, and getting a lot of time to react and attack back

That got my blood pumping! I really feel the game came into its own on level 5 where you could just chain combos. Would love to see more of this! Well done :)

Player controller feels smooth and it is satisfying to slice through the enemy. Very cool game.

Well... this is my number 1 for this jam so far. The art is cute and clear. The boss battle design is something on another level (the tension when fighting with the last boss... masterpiece). Everything is on the right place.
What is more interesting, this game trains your patience... the samurai way.
The only thing I'd improve is to made loading katana a little faster, or give some audio feedback it has just loaded.
Other than that... I LOVE THIS GAME!

Satisfying mechanic, especially when your hit "connects". Love the part where the minions spawn one by one, that was perfect! But maybe it would be better if there's a line/arrow showing where the player's attack is gonna go, just for quality of life.
Also the 5th stage/boss was too hard for me to finish, I believe frustration was the word 😅. Probably there can be a way the moves can be anticipated more fairly. I'm sure, with time, you can only make this better!
Overall, great job on this, contains huge potential, could even be made for mobile.

An excellent game, utilizing the theme near perfectly. I got all the way to the last boss but couldn't beat it, but it was really fun to try! Very well done!

This was cool, a little tough to get the timings down on the attacks, but it was satisfying when you did. A great entry.
Great fun mechanic. Everything tied together really nicely.Took a minute to work out the level 3 boss' phase 2 mechanic. Would have loved to see it be a bit clearer that you couldn't jump, I had trouble picking the black shadow/top right while watching the enemies.
