Recoil cat! Loved how you incorporated the recoil from attacking into your puzzles, physics and movements. Add a whole new dimension to getting around spikes. I don't know if there were any sounds and music, in my case I didn't get any. Strong on the execution aspect. Nice one!
I really liked the character design. Very nice and fun. Also the way to change where you shoot was also pretty neat. Well done mate^^
Cool start for a game, I found it pretty difficult. Especially the spike gauntlet you gotta go through after the first health thingy. I had a lot of fun gaining a ridiculous amount of speed with the water cannon though, that was a neat addition that feels like it has some speedrunning / sequence breaking potential. I agree with other's sentiment that the character's hitbox being a square despite the art being a circle was confusing and took some adjusting, so some updates to the art would go a long way in making the overall feel better. Good job!
The game is really fun, although you can go through almost everything just by spamming with one button
Pretty neat!
I think you should give the character treads, because they're shaped like a circle but their collision detection is square. Maybe have a second arm to tilt up too, so it's clear when the top part is connecting with a wall for a jump.
Maybe put a checkpoint half-way through the dropping platforms orb path. It actually wasn't that hard once I figured out I needed to step on top of the vertical blocks instead of just wall jumping, but man it was a long trek back.
Couldn't beat the Boss. Not sure if it was because I kept dying, or they just don't die. Didn't really get any feedback of of it,
I'll post my records if I upload them.
EDIT: Here they is: MM21 Canon Cat by Saench
cute and simple... really enjoyed jumping and spamming attack too zoom around, not sure if intentional or not, but really fun
Super cool! I really like the simple art style; it's just charming. And the mechanic of using the recoil to avoid obstacles is very cool. It's so satisfying to just watch the little cat go flying, haha.
I usually try to give some feedback, but I'm having trouble thinking of anything to say that doesn't seem obvious. Music and sound effects would be nice.
Even though I'm not good enough for this game's flavor of difficulty, I'm probably going to come back to it once I have some more ratings under my belt. I need to know what that something good that might happen is...!
lol you weren't kidding with CANNON cat! I love the idea of using the recoil from the canon to facilitate movement. Good ideas and a cool game!
Cool game, i like the simplistic art style and the water cannon mechanic!
Cute but surprisingly challenging in some areas. The art looks simplistic but the level is well thought out and I enjoyed playing it. My only critique it would of been nice if there was some music to listen to while playing.
Nice game, had playing it.
Very difficult, but cool! I got Vietnam flashbacks from white castle in Hollow Knight when playing it ;D
Loved the concept and the charm of this game! The cannon's knockback felt really satisfying and forced you to consider the implications of shooting mid-air. The game is also brutally difficult! Collecting the first two orbs was a real accomplishment, but I had to give up after the crumbling vertical walls. Overall amazing job, would love to see some SFX + music!
What an inventive concept! Playing as a ball equipped with a water rocket launcher added a fresh spin to the usual gameplay mechanics I've encountered. The cascading water bubbles that emerge and demolish walls is both visually engaging and mechanically satisfying.
However, there was a minor hiccup – the follow camera seemed to have a bit of a jitter with our cute ball protagonist. I'm not well-versed in Godot, but it might be something related to physics synchronization? Just a guess!
Had Numerous comedic moments when I unintentionally-ish propelled myself over obstacles. Keep up the great work, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your creative endeavors. 👏🎮
