I did not play all the games here but I played a lot, and after we just have few hours left I just wanted to mention, this is the best title here, definitely  best game design and greatest enjoyment! Fingers crossed for your victory here. Really great job !

Thanks so much Yurga, was awesome to be in the competition with you!!

Thanks JD!!!!!

Cool blend of horror and metroidvania and pretty fleshed out. Works pretty well too, hearing monsters creeping around the corners of a maze is successfully freaky. Controls feel good and even though there's lots of doors and corridors you're introduced to, it's not too overwhelming or unclear to know where to head to first.

This ended up INSANELY good! Great job getting so much done in such a short time, beautiful experience from start to finish.

I actually did get scared. Very nice environment. Well done^^

An exquisite Metroidvania experience, with no filler and is very well balanced, love the Van Helsing and Dracula theme, feels very unique

That was really great! The ambiance kinda scared me at first hahaha! I love the style, it plays great and some puzzles asked me to search for a while ^^'
The last power really got me like "wow", it was an amazing idea. Very nice entry, well done!

Great expirience start to finish. It was great to move around and do stuff. The maze while being not easy to navigate has very distinct rooms that make it great to map in your mind. I hope you keep on because that last power was awesome and would have loved a bit more room. /Spoiler the last boss felt really like a last boss of a long game and would have loved a fight with the staff at that point! Not a complaint though just in case you expand further :)

Thank you so much! Yeah I tried to make sure all the weapons had a use in the final fight - the crucifix for sending the bats away, and the cane for breaking the crystals that shoot bullets. But I think a lot of people are managing to do the fight without destroying the crystals, even though they take huge chunks of her health away! I made that last boss in a single day before the deadline, so it could definitely do with some tweaks :D

Ahah I'm one of those people, I liked dodging the bullets and when I tried with the staff I didn't get that I was deflecting. Don't get me wrong it's a great climax boss and make you feel worthless at first and then you pieces the puzzle toghether it is very satisfying! I just imagined fighting a lesser vampire dodging and bashing him with the staff(yeah I enjoyed that weapon a lot ahah) at that point if the game would have been longer!

An impressive game! It evoked some Minecraft vibes for me. I was particularly taken with the smooth and responsive controls. Well done!

Wasn't expecting a 3d game but enjoyed it a lot. liked the soundtrack!

Submitted(+1)

Wow, all I can say is I hope this becomes a full game. Love every part of it.

Very cool game! I found my way around easier than I expected given the maze like design, the power ups changed the way I looked at the map in some cool ways, and the boss fight was impressive! Also some good calls on the scope, makes me wish I had limited our entry to one level so we could polish the other mechanics more and have time for more enemies. Also noticed we both did gravity swapping mechanics lol, so thats neat.

That was honestly so fun! The boss fight was so hard I didn't know how to dodge the red tracking ones but I persisted and beat her!! Good job and thank you for making such a fun game :)

I managed to figure out both puzzles this time.  Though I got the Eye one upside-down the first time.  And the (I think) tweaking of the cryptic clue really helped.

Awesome Boss Battle too.  It didn't evolve much beyond adding bullet-spawners, but just dashing and reversing around the arena to avoid the homing attacks and gradually chipping away at her health was fun in in itself.  Really felt like an ass-kicking Vampire Hunter!

EDIT:  I died once and lost my Upgrade, but the doors I opened were still open.
EDIT 2: Boss fight - MM21 - Valpurgis Final Boss

I just thought, through the Boss battle I was swapping gravity for fun, mostly relying on the dash to avoid projectiles.  A Phase 2 where she starts alternating a hazard on different layers of the arena would be a great way to integrate the gravity swapping.  Like, she changes where the spikes are, or summons an electricity cloud or something.

Ah so glad you enjoyed it, and those are some awesome suggestions! The crystals that shoot bullets are meant to be smashed with the cane - they take huge chunks of her health away if you do that, and getting to them forces you to use the grav-switching ability. But I think most people aren't figuring out you can do that! I'll definitely tweak and add more stages if ever I return to the game, but for now I kinda want to move on to the next project :P

Cool man!
(I was thinking as I looked back on the footage that I never used the cane, cuz I realized I could have mapped quick change rather than cycle, and the thought did cross my mind about the crystals.  A bit late tho. XD)

It had been a while since I had fun with 3D games, even though I had never played a game with this style, I really had a lot of fun this first time.

This is a really good game, the horror vibe and the background music along with the items like cane, gun, and cross and the special effects like the sparks and the fire are all really cool. Great game!

Wow! This got me for a long time! 92% items collected :) Its good to play the game where you feel satisfaction after you reach the end.

Game design is great. I am amazed how you fused metroidvania and survival horror into FPP playstyle. Fight with mobs is balanced very well for me. All powers and items you aquire also are need to be used in similar amount, which shows that project was very well thought out. Also to mention the puzzle with symetrical room was really cool;) (but I wasnt sure what the revard was, because i found there another riffle, but the shoot power was the same as the first one).

Great entry, i was having good time, thanks!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing Yurga, so glad you enjoyed it! The rifle upgrade removes the reload time, so you can fire about 4x faster! I'll try to include a message that explains this if ever I make an update, as you're the second person to comment on this. Thanks so much for your feedback!
