Very nice graphical presentation, audio was a bit jarring at the beginning and I couldn't really get used to it, but its an overall very nice experience, good job!

Use of the limitation
The limitation "You are your own enemy" was incorporated rather literally, the 'Reds' being the voices of doubt in your own head. True happiness can often come from facing fears and leaving comfort zones.

This is one of my faves! I like how the story and the minigame mechanics are connected, and also the whole narrative part of the game.
The music, in a way, reminds me a little bit of World of Horror.
I got veeeeery attached to the main character, and the ending definitely got me smiling without even noticing haha. Lovely game!
very cool game with a good story. it's small but I really liked how fast you fall in the platforming section - gave it a good feel. all the minigames feel good which kept me engaged
Story/message is what really shined here! Your graphics looked great too and really set the tone for your story. Most of the minigames were pretty good, except the maze one! That was just torture having to walk back and forth to collect books that didn't say much lol. Besides that really excellent game overall. Very polished and I love that it is a complete experience. Ngl, I was lowkey hoping that he'd walk outside and it'd be like a wasteland and his brain was really trying to protect him lol. Great job!
An interesting game with an eerie atmosphere! Mini-games were pretty straightforward, but the ending definitely felt like it lifted something from my heart. I for one find comfort in going outside and doing stuff after being inside for a while. So that was spot on for me. Nicely done!

Great narrative, nails the atmosphere. If there's one thing to point out, on some interactions it seemed like I needed to step away and forward again (e.g. for the boxes). While this kinda fits the narrative, the feeling was more of a "I need to trigger this again" in a gaming sense.
Really enjoyed it and the ending put a smile on my face.
Probably the most finished game I've played from this Jam. The artstyle and gameplay compliment the narrative very well, the music does get repetitive, but that also fits in with the whole package. Overall very enjoyable experience and I would probably recommend this to some friends, even if this wasn't part of the Jam.
This was a lot of fun! I love seeing a game being available for gameboy, that's super unique and rare to see. Loved the gameplay a lot it was entertaining, made me want to keep playing more to figure out what the story is. Would love to see this game again in the future!

Tense... Really liked the easy going pacing with mini-games to create novelty while following the story.
That heavy and distorted music just makes me feel depressed, which is great for a game about depression. \o/
Great use of everything to immerse the player in the story... Colors, Heavy Gravity, Slow movement, etc... It kind of mixed perfectly with the old school gameplay.
The look and feel of this game are so good! The artstyle is very cohesive really helps with the immersion and the story is clearly communicated

i normally can’t stand games with a heavy narrative/dialogue focus, but this one pulled it off rather well in my opinion. and of course no 8-bit top-down game is complete without an “ice puzzle”~
This was my favorite entry so far. I found myself getting attached to the little cube friend. The scope of the art and the story worked perfectly for a game jam, and the twist ending was perfect for the limitation provided. As someone with a storied history of mental illness, it meant a lot to me to play a game that spoke both candidly and gently about the subject matter.
Stellar stuff you have here. Also, love that you use GB Studio too.
