very COOL game
The fire/freezing mechanic definitely gives a sense of urgency
Thanks for playing :)
Good game, wasn't expecting to see something 3d in this jan!
Really nice! Actually, the premise is similar to my game, but with an extra dimension.
For the tiny screen size and the 1-bit palette, I'm impressed by just how readable the 3D environment is. Great work!
Really well done! This is the first 3D game I've played in the jam and I'm very impressed. Great work!
VERY cool game!
It's amazing you were able to make a 3D game within the Jam's restrictions. I kept getting lost, but playing it still was a lot of fun. I also like how you implemented the temperature feature, resting at a campfire to warm up, quite similar to what we did with our game! Good job!
Thank you! Campfire gang!!
Love it. Always interesting to see 3D stuff at this low a resolution. I was squinting at my screen and getting lost a lot, but that definitely made for even more of an authentic maze experience. Good work!
Thanks for playing!
This game has a really cool visual style and even the potential for some (light) jumpscares. :D
I found it quite difficult to find my way around the maze and constantly wound up back in places where I've been before.
But I imagine it's very difficult to make a 3D game even remotely comprehensible at such resolutions, let alone have visual distinctions of locations.
All in all a very impressive and fun game!
Thanks for playing! It was challenging to keep the screen readable (mostly an exercise in removing stuff) and it could be improved further still, but I'm glad to hear people are managing to find their way through :)
That was really fun! It felt like the temperature dropped fast enough that I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, and I was always in a hurry to either find a new spot or return to one to warm up. Making it harder to see as the temperature dropped and you're frostbitten was even more nerve-wracking, in the best of ways.
It was admittedly a bit hard for me to understand what was in my vision sometimes, especially at the start, but I got used to it after spending some time with the terrain.
I'm glad to hear it made for an exciting playthrough!
There's definitely room for improvement in visual clarity, maybe I'll make a sequel next year ;)
Didn’t expected to see 3D games on this jam, sadly I can’t rate it more than 5 stars in innovation criteria. Good job!
Thank you for the kind review!
Great use of the theme! The game play was very intuitive and it felt like the difficulty was just right.
Thanks! It's always fun to try and think of something within the theme :)
Wow amazing game!I dont know how you did it but this was a very unique experience! great jam submission.
Thank you!
I completed it I liked it, a good game, but a bit hard to see
Thanks for completing it!
I love how this game looks! I find 3D on lower resolutions to look super cool and this was no exception! Great way to visualize the player slowly freezing, the UI and telegraphing was top-notch which was essential for a game like this with the restrictions of the jam. Great job, really liked it! :)
Thanks for the kind review, glad you liked it!
It was a lot of fun to play, and the game looks great.
Thanks for playing!
What you were able to do, even with the limitations is UNREAL !
One of my favorite so far :)
Thanks for playing!
It was a lot of fun trying to make this work with so little space... learned to appreciate the effort that goes into keeping the screen readable :)
A very well made game but also suuuuper difficult for someone like me who is chronically lost haha I think I finished the game due to sheer stubbornness. Also, loved the 3D effect you did!
Thanks for pushing through beating the game! I'm glad you liked it!
love those pseudo-3d raycaster graphics.
the player slowly losing consciousness as it got colder was a very nice touch.
Thanks for the kind review :)
At first I was confused why things were getting rendered with less black pixels as time passed. Then I realized it was because the character was slowly freezing. Nice game! :D
Thought it was going to be a simple key-finding game but the fire and ice were an unexpected twist! The movement was nice and snappy which was also a nice plus.
