Loved the astronomy, you think more vampires would be interested in that sort of thing!
An excellent follow-up to 'Reflecting with a Red' - your writing skill continues to improve! I couldn't help but feel a little disconnected from your story, however; your idea was excellent with a strong setup for a well-executed twist at the end, but I didn't really get a sense of personal connection to any of the characters, or even a name. Maybe choosing a single person's POV, if not the hero then a simple soldier in their army, would help me feel more invested?
A lot of story packed into a tight space, and a fantastically clever ending. Nice work!
I love the well thought out lore of campaigning against vampires and the champion's plight, although I wish they had resolved a little more in tandem by the end. Still, a great adventure that had me stopping to think about the military logistics of vampire myths.
Nice use of repetition and imagery. Reads almost poetically. And an absolutely snappy twist at the end!
This was great, I enjoyed the simple yet really smart use of every word. It felt like nothing was over used or wasted.
I really enjoyed this! The style drew me in and I think it fit the theme very well. It makes me want to throw some vampiric undead and downtrodden rebels on the tabletop.
Ha great! What a turn of events in the last moment. I really enjoyed the build up to the confrontation at the end, mustering men to take down the vampires.
It was like a page from some history book, once lost to time.
Good work!
A slower start drew me in as the story built very well. I really enjoyed the imagery at the end and the detail of the astronomy book. Nice job!
First submission I read and a good one from the get-go! Really liked the flow of the story and the ending. Chef kiss.
Well done!
