Description
"Avoiding the Enemy" is a fictional game where the player must continuously avoid enemies attacking from all directions and aim for the goal. The music is composed using Ableton Live, focusing on instruments commonly found in retro games, such as NES and SNES sound sources. The composition is designed to convey the urgency of reaching the goal, creating a sense of pressure on the player, combined with the pop charm of retro games.

What a mix of styles! Definitely something very interesting here.

Loved the chaotic energy of Stage theme, It was pretty cool

Well done!!!!

Heh... It was definitely fun! However, at some point some tracks seemed a little monotonous... But it was fun nonetheless!

Thank you)

P.S. You posted this so early, lol

A lot of energy is packed in these tracks. Feeling of urgency conveyed. Nice work!

Chiptones! I liked the tracks, they're very cool to listen to and the energy is on point too with NES games. The sense of urgency is clearly and successfully delivered too! But on the composition side I feel that it lacks a bit of cohesion between the melodies, and together with the repetitive chord progressions and drumlines makes it feel way too chaotic for it's own good. Adding more variation to the chords or arpeggios, maybe adding new articulations to it, could improve this chaotic feeling.

Neat submission! The production is a little too loud, but it's definitely got a beat to bop to. I like it.

This was cool as hell! Great submission!

Day 2 of Rating Submissions with Few Ratings to Hopefully Get Some in Return

That's some *aggressive* Chiptune you cooked up,there. Most chiptune from older systems could only support 4 soundchannels, here it's an all out assault. I would agree with the other commenter that the third track is the best. Here the melodic approach seems the most purposeful and directional.

Good job with the sound design. Barring the reverb, this all sounds pretty authentically retro.

Great chiptunes sound ! Really uplifiting music^^

The ending theme's main melody was written very well. It felt really final to me. I think my favorite was the ending theme! Second best was the stage one.

Great Job!

I like the riffs in Stage Theme! 😃

The cover is like a combination of Bomberman and Kirby haha.

Gotta love those sounds. Nice work. Feeling the pressure already!

Really neat! I liked when the longer notes would get warbly. I do think the tracks get a little repetitive because they loop a few times. But overall nice!
