Description
Genre: ambient music.
Software: GarageBand. The music includes recordings of 1 violin playing, 1 wooden frog (percussion) 1 voice.
Kind of game: action role playing, adventure.
The aim of the game is to find the magic lyre of harmony which has been stolen by an evil creature of chaos . The magic lyre has the power of keeping all worlds in peace. By finding the lyre one brings back peace and harmony in the universe.
There are 5 main steps/levels in the game.
Each track corresponds to an important challenge in the story/game, see the page "Harmony of worlds OST" for details.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
This soundtrack is a musical voyage into our deepest subconscious thoughts.
This is illustrated metaphorically by using some ideas of Norse mythology.
- Track 1 is a meditation reflecting on the notion of harmony and peace. Runes give some answers to our deeper questions.
- Track 2 illustrates a second level of meditation. One is brought into a well of happiness, bringing oneself strength and joy.
-Track 3 illustrates a moment of deep self questioning. The Norns, sowing destiny show a secret path to the world of Hel where the lyre has been hidden.
-Track 4 illustrates an episode where one fights to find harmony in darker times. This is expressed by a visit to the world of the dead, where the goddess Hel rules.
-Track 5 is the final happy end. The lyre, symbole of harmony and peace has been found.
See my page "Harmony of worlds OST" for details about the synopsis.

Okay... I'll be honest: your cover art is one of my favorites at this jam.....

Incredible sound and flutes.... uh... I LOVE IT! You've done a little bit of exciting ambient, which is fitting for.... fairy tale?

Thank you!

I instantly connected with the simple yet poetic setting you give for the story.

So cool to know you've recorded everything with real instruments, it gives an authentic feeling and it works great for the story. My cat is closing is eyes along the second track right now ^^

Nice touch with the whispers on track four, and the hesitating violin... really hypnotic. Great musical narration.

Amazing job with a minimal amount of tools. Great creativity!!

This one captivated me so much that i just kind of sit and didnt realized i had finish because soundcloud automatically started playing songs from it again, and i was happy to just fall into this soundscapey world of ambient strings that you have so graciously blessed us with. Excellent work!

Besides the really professional composition and production, I'm just amazed at how unique this is. A lot of really cool decisions to get a rich sound while being so sparse. The decisions feel deliberate and refined, like tonality in 'Journey in Cosmos' and the whispers in 'World of Hel' (which is such a cool effect! and I love how the violin takes a a kind of secondary role. They feel close to the player, fitting with navigating by shadows). I like the use of reverb and echos in that piece (and 'Heavens with Harp'), and how it creates a sense of distance almost. The clinking sounds work so well to do that without crowding space. Outstanding work on this!! Again, I'm amazed

Day 3 of Rating Submissions with Few Ratings to Hopefully Get Some In Return

Really interesting and unique submission. I feel echoes of modern classical, minimalism and drone. The slowly moving, almost directionless strings lead to an ambience more felt than heard and the intimacy of what is basically an embellished string quartet shows confident in the concept that you described so in-depth in your accompanying text.

My only complaints is that some additional production could have smoother over some sonic harshness. The bell sounds in the first song sound a tad shrill and occasionally I was jumped by a string sound that popped out of the soundscape a bit too much. These are minor complaints those the and easy fixes either way.

Really lovely, it feels like it would fit a point-and-click or puzzle style game. I like the sparse textures, and you really get the most out of the few instruments you're using. I would have liked a bit more variety between the tracks, maybe at least one with more of a rhythmic identity

Beautiful submission! I like that you kept it simple and let the violin-playing stand out, as it really shines. A very peaceful ost.

This sounds amazing. The interpretation of the theme is very unique, and the overall soundtrack stands out a lot as a result. Everything sounds very peaceful yet unsetting and each individual track fits its part of the story very well. Great work!
