Message from the artist
This is my first attempt at making a soundtrack for a game, so I hope you enjoy!

Theme

Inside my world
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
When I saw, "Inside My World," I thought of a world, or perhaps a journey, so that's the general story my music follows. The picture theme looked pretty mysterious to me, so I tried to give the music a sense of mystery and wonder.

Great variety of sounds through this ost ! :)  The guitars add to the fun and to the mood greatly!

I also found a lot of your musical "gimmicks" and ideas interesting and fun :D

I really liked the vibe of A New Day to Explore, perfect ambiant and active track to discover areas in the game!

That battle theme against the Clown was craaaaazy, looove it!

Great and very fun Ost with a strong personality :) Well done!

Developer

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for taking the time to listen!

You are seriously productive and creative! Your submissions really stand out with the wacky, rock feeling, I love it!

If you want some constructive feedback, I would mix the bass a bit more, it's a bit muddy in some tracks :) But your creativity makes it all great!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, and for taking the time to listen!

Wow you absolute monster! 13 tracks???
This is great, honestly for some reason I feel like I've gone back to my childhood playing some random ass JRPG that I pulled from my R4 cartridge & let me tell you that is an absolute good thing! Nostalgia feels all around.

Developer

As a huge fan of JRPG's, that means a lot to me! Thanks for listening!

2 tracks a day, with this quality, variety, interesting harmonies and melodies... Really great job!

It being your first try at this makes it this much more impressive!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed listening!

Submitted

Its impressive at how much you were able to get done in just a week. 09 was my favorite track

Developer

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Most people so far have said that one is their favorite song, too!

Wow, really great job with this OST! I could fully imagine the game and story from how the tracks went with each other, it was a lot of fun to listen to! I think my favorite track has to be the final boss theme, it's got an infectious energy and vibe. A small thing I noticed is that some of the note timings were a bit off the beat, which is fine for creating a sense of 'live' music, but I think it sometimes happened a bit too often and made the music sound slightly unnatural at times, such as in 'Plasma Palace'. Maybe having more notes cleanly on the beat, with some slightly off the beat notes here and there, might make this track even better. Really enjoyed the music though, great work!

Developer

I’m glad you enjoyed the soundtrack, and even more glad that you were able to get a story out of just the music alone, which was one of my goals to begin with! As for the note timings, I definitely see what you mean, and I’ll be sure to work on that in the future!

Submitted

I'm impressed with the number of tracks you composed, each with its distinctive style and color. Is that your vocals in "Battle Against Barney"? It was a nice surprise!

Developer

I’m glad you liked the soundtrack! As for Barney the Crazy Carnivorous Carnival Clown(tm)s’ theme, those voice lines were my just my voice with a boatload of editing.

Submitted

The vocal effects fit nicely in that track!

Developer

Thanks! They really add to the overall unsettling and offputting vibe of the whole song, I think

Main Theme From Ignotum: Mysterious feeling intro theme.

A New Day To Explore: Fun bass ostinato and lots of cool elements.

M Y W O R L D N O W: Enter the guitars. This is cool!

A Strange Dream: Dreamy indeed and mysterious.

An Altered World: These sounds are so cool. Especially love the second half. Great blend of sounds.

The Corrupted Junkyard: Cool buildup throughout for the guitars to come in.

Amalgamation: Very cool boss theme! Only critique is it feels like too much might be going on around 0:57. But it does work out for the chaotic nature of a boss theme.

The Traveling Carnival: Classic circus vibes!

Battle Against Barney The Crazy Carnivorous Carnival Clown: Doozy of a name! This is my favorite track for sure. Great SFX, just overall sounds cool and creative.

Plasma Palace: Feels like the final dungeon!

My World, Corrupted Eternal: Organ always works great for a final boss. More of the guitars that are characteristic of this OST. Lots of energy!

Rest: Vibes!

Key Item Unlock Jingle: Short, effective key jingle.

Great work, the track names also really painted a colorful story for me!

Developer

Thanks for listening! One of my goals for this soundtrack was for people to understand, at least, the outline of a story I had for the game through the music, so I’m glad I was able to accomplish that!

Submitted

Heh... this soundtrack has a nice CHAOS feel to it! Interesting take on the fantasy jam theme.....

...My World, Corrupted Eternal is my favorite track (If I try to play it on the piano, my fingers will break. Heh)))

Developer

The Chaos is a bit nice, isn’t it? Thanks for listening to the soundtrack!

Submitted

Nice variety in the orchestration! Mixing the contrabass and bass in the second track first surprised me but the idea was cool! Some ideas are really experimental but that was interesting!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind review! I was mostly just experimenting with new styles and ideas while making this OST,  so I’m glad you noticed!

Submitted

Very experimental, I love it! A few times I got really slight Persona 5 vibes from the organ riffs paired with the drums. My favorite has to be Battle Against Barney. It sounded so chaotic in a cool way. Keep it up!

Developer

I’m glad you like it! Thanks for listening!

Battle Against Barney The Crazy Carnivorous Carnival Clown is so incredible and WTF.
I like your world ahah

For a first attempt at composing an original soundtrack, you put in some serious work. Expansive list of tracks covering a fair amount of genres, without anything coming across as being a copy of another.

Really nice arrangements and a good use of a variety of instruments and voicings. I think that An Altered World is one of my favorites of the bunch - has an air of mystique to it without leaning too heavily into being quirky. Managed to have everything sound cohesive as well, which is impressive given that it spans a few different genres and styles of writing.

I don't personally think the track lengths are an issue as they could always be looped or iterated upon again if necessary. If I was to pick one thing to nitpick, I think I'd go with saying the drums throughout can feel a little dry and buried at points. However, I'd like to counter that by also saying that the guitar work was tasteful and implemented really well - never overpowering the mix, sitting right in where it needed to and belonging comfortably.

Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks you so much for the kind words, as well as the feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed, and I’ll be sure to work on the drums issues with future music pieces and soundtracks I create in the future.

Getting some vibes from the later 3D jump'n'Run era. Though some songs seem a bit short for me but nothing to be harsh about since the other songs are solid. I feel the like your OST pretty much covers that chaotic evil energy, like your picture implies, without getting tiring. The Structure of most of your songs is solid and makes them intriguing to listen to.

Developer

I totally agree with you that many of my songs were a bit too short, which I’m going to try to work on in my future soundtracks. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted

Really solid entry all around! My favorite one was my world corrupted

Developer

Thanks for the review! I’m glad you like My World Corrupted, because it was one of my favorite songs to make as well!

Submitted

So many tasty styles on this thing!

Developer(+1)

Yes, so tasty… glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted

Very creative submission; there's a lot of different sounds and styles but it all comes together and feels cohesive. Good work!

Developer

That’s what I was going for! Thanks for listening!

Submitted

Cool stuff here! It feels very cohesive as a compositional whole, and I like a lot of synth and percussion layering. Very dark and mysterious all around!

Developer

I, too, am an enjoyer of percussion and synth layering. Glad you liked it!

Amazing 👌

Fear of clowns: reconfirmed!

Love the cohesion between all of these tracks, they all feel and sound like they belong in the same game.

Developer

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Always happy to re-ignite a previously suppress fear of clowns!
