Description
Kiki Come Home is a wistful poetic exploration into happiness, life, existentialism and the meaning of life. The soundtrack was made in FL Studio 21 by myself.
Message from the artist
Special shoutout to Spitfire Audio and their wealth of libraries that are ever-present throughout this album. Thank you to everyone who has helped me on my artistic journey, you know who you are :)
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
Kiki (Young and Old) can be visualized as the girl in the photo. The story follows Kiki going into the world of her old sketchbook. "Inside my world". There ya go :)

Hey... it was cool and graceful!
P.S. Great avatar on SoundCloud. Heh)
Thank you!
(I appreciate it lolol)
Amazing job. Cohesive, with beautiful arrangements perfectly fit for the theme and with great sounding instruments, I really dig the buildup in each of the tracks, the layering of the overlapping melodic lines and the dynamics. I will surely come back to this and look forward to hear more of your creations! I also like how the soundtrack starts orchestral, very beautiful but maybe more "mainstream", and little by little, as we enter Kiki's world, other instruments and sounds with more special flavor are added. My favorite piece in this regard is "Almost Enough", giving me echoes of Floex's work.
thank you! I appreciate all the kind words and attentive feedback!
jeez, idk how this OST has so little ratings!! this was very pleasant to listen to and this is a very high quality submission. i love the introduction to your second track, it feels so fun and ethereal! you clearly put a lot of soul into the OST and i commend you for that. amazing work!
Oh wow, that's high praise, thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
Amazing work! Love your harmonies and how you structured your tracks! My favourite moments are the beginning of "Revival of Youth" with the short notes played by the winds and then, the climax of "I see it now" when the harmony bounces between I and minor IV!!
One of my favourite submisssion!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
the idea is very interesting and fitting in my opinion, i like it
tides of time is a good fitting track for the beginning of the story, sounding all nice but there's this sad melody on a piano with kind of dark tone, resembling how she feels empty, ..."with a sense of dread, a sadness"..., and i think the silence at the end is on purpose or something, kind of like everything stopped when Kiki spots her old sketchbooks.
revival of youth starts very interesting, all those notes are like "memories" that are coming back to her, and as they appear more and more, strings and synth in the backing starts getting louder, adding more to the memories, and then she gets into the world of her old sketchbook. really fits the story!
almost enough - a really nice, sad track, i like the ambience feel of it with sound effects, a great mix of orchestra-like instruments and electronic ones, the bassline is very nice as well.
i see it now - i love it, really beautiful, the synths, the orchestra in it, its just great, very pleasant to listen to.
overall, i liked both the story and the sountrack, its such a pleasant project to listen and read to, great job!
Thank you for this very comprehensive review, you have a great eye (and ear) for detail! I'm glad you enjoyed it and best of luck to you in the Jam!
I loved the rain stick like sounds of the second song!
Thank you!
This entire track is just beautiful, I really loved the ambient sections, and the instruments that were used sounded amazing!
P.S: I really like the idea of going through different worlds in your sketchbook, its just a really cool concept!
Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it! And I'm glad you enjoyed the concept!
Really impressive work, I found the second track really awesome, the winds were used really creatively and when that bass hit goddamn I was enthralled. Also the art even though its pretty simple, captures a lot of the essence that your music gives. So really awesome work all around : )
Thank you, I really appreciate you saying that! And yeah this was definitely a wake-up call to keep working on my art skills lol
Beautiful all around, you have masterful control of the string section, but everything else is on point too.
Really like everything I heard, nothing to say other than awesome work! I also like the tied theme and think it would be a great story/game!
Thank you for listening/ commenting, I appreciate it! Best of luck in the jam!
The transitions are incredibly beautiful and natural, I couldn't even tell where one song ended and another started!
Each song feels like a journey, the use of strings and piano in "Tides of Time" makes it feel calm and gentle, and the oboes and bells in "Revival of Youth" make it feel busy and lively without sounding overwhelming. I also really enjoyed the grandiose feeling of "I See it Now". Great work!
Thank you so much for listening, I appreciate the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The background details are really very well done! especially in “Revival of Youth” and at the beginning of “I see it now”, the noise of the piano keys is very relaxing. Maybe I would have dared with the same details in the intro too, but I have to say that the harmony makes you forget about the details because it takes you into another world.
the most original song however remains “Revival of Youth” those oboe particles are an extra touch!
Thank you for checking out my submission! And I agree, the intro could have used a bit more love and care, and I'm glad you were able to enjoy it anyway! Best of luck to you in the jam!
(I write this as I listen! I used the YouTube video so I can't be certain which track is which!)
Starts off so beautiful. The composition here is wonderful. All the instruments fit together so well. And that little texture is wonderful.
2nd part - A little granular feeling! All the chirping of those wind instruments (forgive me.. that's oboe?) and the little clinking texture.. then the bass kicks in. What a full and textural track!
3rd part - A synth intro! The granular textures are all over the place with this one! So much ear candy! I love those little vocal things too! The piano sweeps are a joy!
4th part - Whistly intro! Love those weak high notes on the piano. Then - WOW!! The big soundscape that follows.. it's beautiful!! It feels grand! Beautiful!!
This is one of those submissions where I seriously hope you reach the top 20 :)
Wow thank you so much for listening! I really appreciate all the wonderful words and I'm glad you enjoyed my submission! Best of luck to you as well, I look forward to hearing your work!
