- I only got stuck between a wall and tree at one point, which is probably my only concern with mechanics, but beyond that, I really-really enjoyed this game. Personally I believe this was done quite well and I'd definitely play a lot more!

This game is amazing! I love burning everything down. Am I the baddie?
Great concept, and i love the simple art style! I cant wait to see what else happens!
Every ounce of me wants this game to win. It scratches every itch. Great graphics, great game play!! LOVE LOVE LOVE.
💚
What a great game! The level of polish is insanely good! The music and artstyle was amazing too. Great job!
I LOVED this game!! Adorable art style, very fun gameplay loop. The nose wiggle on the gobbo is 10/10.
Amazing work for 2 weeks, the game is so polished!
Thank you so so much!! We had an absolute blast working on this, but you better believe the final week was a *griiind* to try and polish it as much as we could. I really appreciate your kind words (and for playing!), it means a lot! :)
Oh, the dream to play as a piromancer goblin, funny game, I got stuck on the second level, between a three and the wall, but really fun to play.
Yeahhh a few people got locked up there. Oops! Im super happy you enjoyed the game, and thank you for the nice words!! :)
My bf got stuck on a burning tree too, he still enjoyed the heck out the game. Sooooooo VERYYYYYYYY goooooooood.
Medieval Arson Simulator? Heck yes.
Fun mechanics, meaningful story, charming art and style, and the audio and voiceover is just great.
Splendid game!
When people ask about the game I'm just going to start calling it a "Medieval Arson Simulator" haha! Thank you so much for checking it out, and for the super nice words! Youre also the first person to mention the voices which we had SO much fun making!
Nice intro, music, art and fun mechanics. Great game :)
Thank you so much!! We really appreciate your kind words, and for checking out the game!
Tons of fun. The movement and attacks feel and look smooth.
I love the goblins animations, the nose and ear bounce are a great touch!
It's clean and easy to play... and you can spread fire with sheep. What else could you ask for?
Hahah I couldnt agree more! Thank you for the super kind words, and for checking out the game! We had an absolute blast working on it
Great looking game, even more fun to play. Good job guys!
Really appreciate the kind words, and thank you for playing!! That really means a lot to us
Really cool concept ! Loved the art <3
A little bit on the hard side, but really fun.
Great job!
Thank you so much!! Yeah in playtesting we definitely had moment where we went "Man...I cant beat this level" so we tried to keep those levels to the latter part of the game haha. Thank you for checking it out!!
Super clean! Well polished mechanic with great art to back it up. Nice work!
We really appreciate that!! Thank you! :)
Very hard, but shows great promise. I would love to have a way to permanetly get rid of villaggers, instead of just shooing them away.
It was only mentioned briefly in the tutorial, but once you destroy a house, the villager belonging to that house will exit the game (via the castle)
Fun, fast and ... goblins. Right up my alley. Great job!
Thank you!!
Well done, this game is fire 🔥
I see what you did there :P
Thank you!!
This game was the much needed stress relief after make a game jam game, so thank you for that. I think what really did it for me was the mechanic where you could leave the trail and ignite it after, it was amazing.
I *feel* this, especially as we entered the final couple days of the jam! Im glad burning trees and pitches were able to help you relax. :)
You did it! Congrats on your game!!
Top notch art, really loved the concept.
Loved using the trees to spread fire and block villagers from using the well with the tar :)
Congrats on your game!
Thank you!! :) Really glad to hear you enjoyed it
as said before, the art is indeed incredible. I drew bunch of pixel art fire sprites for our game so extra credit to where it's due for that not really fun task to be done so well. I also really enjoyed the well balanced tutorial levels and all that comes after. great great jam entry!
Thank you so much for the kind words!! :)
That ending literally put a smile on my face. This was hella fun. Music and animations were on point, and there was definitely a bit of strategy to learn (namely that it's often better to light trees near a house than to light the house itself). You definitely did some interesting things with the levels as they progressed, like hiding sheep or guards in the trees and such. I played with controller on the downloadable and it worked great.
Constructive criticism/bug reports:
- I got stuck on terrain and had to restart a couple of times, mostly on corners
- I think the colliders for the fire swing could've been more generous; I often thought a tree would catch when it didn't. I'm not sure if it's just a small collider or if it's only detecting on one frame of animation or what
- Getting hit by the guards could've been juicier. Maybe a sprite flash, screen shake, or something. I got hit a couple times without realizing
- Tutorial text assumes you're using M+K instead of controller
Thanks for playing and having fun! Agreed with all those points. We spent a lot of time tuning colliders (which caused the hitbox issue you mentioned) and there are still ways to get stuck. Hopefully we figure out a better way.
Thank you for playing it! I'm glad you made it to the end. Agree with everything--getting stuck in corners and navigation/pathing were probably our top challenges. Really glad to hear the controller worked for you since most of us were only testing with mouse and keyboard. We were going (almost) right up until the deadline and a couple of details got dropped...
What a fantastic submission! Love the art, animation, and sound design. Great job all!
Thank you so much ! :)
Gob-bo go Brrrrrr
