Great work, nicely polished. I actually had a better time playing without the teleport.

Fits the theme, no doubts! I like the visuals the sounds and music! It’s good to see such polish for a game jam. The gameplay is simple and quick to understand.

The first page feels a bit like a wall of text though! Maybe a short tutorial run would help?

Congrats for your entry!

NICE WORK BRO! The colors, the gameplay, the effects, the level progression, all stuff are great. Top 5 in my personal ranking of this jam.

May you rate my game too?

Developer(+2)

Yepp, just went over there. Thanks! We had a big team so we were able to work pretty fast lol.

The aesthetics, sound is on high-level. Really liked it. Obstacles description looks little bit complicated. I wish i got it by little portions.

Good job, man!

Developer(+2)

Thanks bro! Yea we had just finished implementing the powerups when we realized that the player has no obstical descriptions lol. So I just quickly through one together sunday night.

it's so polished and well made that it doesn't even feel like a game jam game. The gameplay is really smooth and controls are easy to grasp, the assets, the sound, the effects are all amazing. Even the fish eye filter is a nice little touch. Loved it :)

Developer(+2)

Thanks so much! Yea we finished the prototype in like 4 hours lol, so it was just polishing and new features from then on.

Fantastic game! I love the aesthetic and it's overall a very smooth and polished game, amazing job!

Developer

Thanks!

Tried some basic cheating by running a fetch() in the console to your highscores endpoint, but despite returning a 200, it doesn't seem to have actually saved. Oh well. The game itself is pretty enjoyable. The curved aesthetic is pretty nice. My main complaint is that you can't collect pickups when invincible. Feels pretty bad to blink onto a coin to then realize you need to go back to pick it up and then get hit because you're trying to get the coin you already touched. Also, the little shrapnel that starts to appear in later levels is very difficult to see and the first couple times I died to it, I was very confuse. Would prefer if it were colored in a more contrasting color. At any rate, I enjoyed playing the game. Thanks for making it!

Developer

Yea, I don't fully understand how to get onto the cheaters scoreboard lol. I think I was manually placed there since I had a score I gained due to a bug I found. Thanks for the feedback! It was a really fun and cool game to make!

Nice game. I like the feel of the game's UI. The slight jumps in those UI make it feel alive. Love the transition to the Global High Scores tab. And btw, what are ways to cheat, lol?

Developer

Thanks! I dont really know either, one of my teammates set up the leaderboard system lol

glad you liked it! We worked our butts off lol

The team decided we were gonna keep working on it so we’re gonna push some updates every once and I while just to make it as good as possible

Thanks! Our artist did a great job

I love everything about how this game looks. That's such a cool scrolling effect, albeit a little straining on the eyes after a while. I would be interested in seeing how you made it. Music is calm and relaxing which is nice when you're constantly panicking. Nice Highscore system too.

Developer(+1)

Yea I agree that after a while the scrolling effect can mess with your eyes. We just used unity's tile system and some procedural generation. The highscore system is amazing I agree (I personally didnt make it.  Kasmeltz did lol https://kasmeltz.itch.io/. He whipped it up in like an hour, hes crazy good)

Damn, that's really impressive. It took me 3 hours to program hats in my game, so I wish I was that good.

Developer

Yeah he's great. We honestly wouldn't have gotten half the stuff done without him lol

Love the scrolling screen effect.

Developer

Awesome, thank you!

Submitted(+2)

6215!! That screen effect is awesome!

Developer

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback!

I think the visuals are really nice to look at and the upgrades are really fun. I do think that the music could get a little annoying after a while, but great game overall!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! We're gonna add a setting to turn it off. Just didn't have time to do that and it was kinda low on our priority list.

Submitted

For sure. I get it.

Music gets a little bothering with the plucky strings after a little but that's about it with complaints, HUD has some issues sometimes where windows overlap each other and sometimes some upgrades just feel "bothersome" to pick up, for example the forced invincibility just makes it hard to do anything else.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yeah, to fix the powerups being bothersome we just need to ramp up the difficulty faster or only make them spawn later to make them have an actual use because they don't really have one at the earlier stages. We're gonna add a setting to turn off the music as well just didn't have time. Thanks for your feedback!
