Spooky twist to a business simulation. The behaviours all work very well and there's a good span of recipes and items to harvest or brew. This could easily be scaled further: imagine all the potential with upgrades to make bigger and better operations! It's polished and you've really done a good job at interpreting the genre.
Thanks for submitting The Hot Pot to the jam!
Has a nice flow with the mixing. The debt was nice motivation.
Only thing that throws me off is the mixing of pixel and non pixel. Though I understand, game jams, not much time to make art.
Still, good stuff. Well done.
It's fun with nice graphics - but I think it can be developed more, also it would be helpful to make stages in game where you can unlock recipes or learn them - still don't know how I can obtain slime, even though I had 6 first customers wanting it.
I've paid all of my debt! But the game still goes on? I would've liked to see a proper ending for the game, but this is still a solid jam entry IMO. Great job on your game!
Very addictive. Capitalism simulation at its best. Nice vibe. Thank you for sharing!
Brilliantly well made! Enjoyed every second!
SUPER FUN. Totally addicting game, well laid out recipe book and cute art style. Everything about the gameplay was so smooth. Didn't know how to get that green cactus slice looking thing, but had a blast. Great job.
If it's useful to you, I recorded my experience playing. It's unedited and has bad sound quality, but figured folks would appreciate seeing a real playthrough from strangers :)
Wow! Thank you so much. It is reeeeally helpful for me! I’ve written down a hundren notes for me during you playing! Thanks again!
Oh no, I got addicted.
But what can you do when one slice of pineapple pizza will pay all of my debts.
Jokes aside, good stuff here, it was really fun, I played it fully, and was left to wish I could continue even further. Mad respect for taking the effort to make everything so animated and lively, plus all the sound effects, really made it fun simple experience. If one thing I had to complain about is: It was unclear how to make slime at first lol
I had the same UI issues some others have mentioned and it took me a bit to work out how to make slime, but once I got the hang of it this was a cool concept! Nicely done
I had a few small issues with the UI hiding the orders, but other than that it was really fun 😁
this is really addicting as hell. super nice game loop, had fun with it. took me some time to get up my economics, it's a well thought game design. congrats!
The buttons are bigger for me as well, and they hide a lot of things, like the first customer, and the first item in the shelf.
It is not clear what happens when I send someone away.
Once I put the wrong item in from of a customer, and then they didn't accept the correct item, I could only sent away the customer.
Some of the UI covered things but that might have been my screen since I'm on a laptop. Cute art style!
I didn't expect to throw things in a cauldron for half an hour, but here I am. Very addiction! I would have loved some reward for paying off all my debts though :(
