The 'monster in the woods' genre is complemented here really well by some pretty amusing voice acting and a map system with points of interest. Reminds me a little of navigating the trails on something like Firewatch. Of course, this one has more big gnomes than Firewatch ever did. A compass could make orienteering even better.

Thanks for submitting The Paperchase to the jam!

Good job guys that was pretty ambitious. We were also considering voice over walkie talkie at first for our game but we ended up scraping it. Cool to see someone did it!

Good sound design, interesting 2D and 3D artwork. I liked the atmosphere ! Mouse sensitivity and Tab menu sometimes worked weird, but despite that the game is decent!

Radio frat bro's laugh had me dead lol

Fun story. I really liked the voice over. The style of the art reminds me of Firewatch a bit, I really like it.

Oh god, this was so fun. One minute I'm taking in the pretty environment looking at the stars enjoying the mood, and the next minute I am swearing to never ever be close to a garden gnome ever again. I also love the mysteries, it's not that straightforward. Also finally, a game where I was dreading the mouse sensitivity and there is a setting for it! Ok but like the joking tone aside, this was a good experience, I had fun, so good job!

Also bonus points for relatability: I too have run couple of steps and lost my vision (Asthma gang).

Loved the game :D

That was pretty well made, the running headbob animation made me feel sick though

I fear the un-gnome now.
Great work on this one, just the right amount of cheese in the writing.

This is a really cool game, although it took me a while to understand what to do. Liked everything, so amazing.

Good game! if I'm not mistaken It's written old campfire for the cabin key, instead of old campsite. the scene in the dump is more intense than the last one, honestly :).

Game goes hard :D

Loved the atmosphere and the story telling with the voice acting, very cool! I also really appreciate having a map in a game like this!

crazy how much effort was put into this game, it's a hidden gem in the jam so far for me. congrats, also respect for uploading an almost fully dark screenshot to convince us to play the game. work well enough with the music tho!

I'm going to kick a gnome every time I see one in a garden, thanks

Got here for the looks, stayed for the gnomes. I struggled to find the old campfire but enjoyed what I played so far.

 Good job guys,

I love it. Spooky enough. But I kind of lost my direction when I went navigating, I think the control should be more precise for the direction. ex: instead of turning around with mouse, use the key board. (Or maybe getting lost is the intention?)
