Insane that you guys submitted this 2 mins before the deadline! Love that
Definitely one of the best and largest games I've played this jam! Super scary too when I first saw the ghost, I just stood there starring at it until my screen started going red before I realized its not friendly. Love the subtle animation of the recording device with the waves and small ping effects. The boss character was great too and wished he joined me to walk around the scary map. Amazing work and was blown away by the scale and fidelity of the game done in a short time span. Appreciate the store page as well!
Few wishes that are probably already mentioned:
Super high mouse sensitivity for me but slowly got used it!
I noticed someone mention checkpoints and I strongly agree. I died at the last recording and tried again to find that my progress was all gone. Still did try 2-3 plays again though to explore the map anyways.
Sprint was not a huge issue but would be huge Quality of Life if our stamina was a little better.
Overall phenomenal game and super impressed! Its already a fully fleshed out full game!
Really loved your proposition, tested it this morning and still thinks about it. Huge work on the map, the ambiance is very cool, the visuals and sound are dreadening ! Congrats !
This was very nice! The only gripe i have is with mouse sensitivity, but other than that i really like what you did in a week!
And the atmosphere is very eerie.
I can't believe this was completed in just 7 days; the production quality is excellent, and it's very scary.
Wow this game is truly incredible!! 10/10, by far my favorite game I've played so far from this jam.
Aesthetics are top notch. The game feels really good to play. The models, textures, everything looks fantastic. This is also one of the few actually scary games I've played from the jam. The premise is great, love the boss. The cutout sprite style contrasting with the 3D environment is well done and actually pretty interesting. The sounds for the dialogue are weird and unsettling, in a good way. The sprites of the spirits are pretty freaky. The sounds the spirits make really sell the horror. Also that ending haha!
The first time I tried it, I didn't realize spirits spawn and was just staring at the map after scanning, thinking "seriously? Now I have to just walk back? There's no fast travel? Okay let's see how to get back" and then I died without realized what happened. So I was initially frustrated and thought it was bad gameplay with a pretty appearance. Thankfully I gave it another shot. Perhaps there's a way to make the first spirit more obvious before it has a chance of killing the player? But idk, maybe my experience is super rare because I had my nose up against the map haha
The only thing I question is why would I ever try to scan at the farthest areas of the map? It seems like that's just making it harder on yourself because the player now has to survive longer? Unless the required number of spirits is all that's on the map? I admit I only played through once after my unfortunate death, so I'm really not sure.
This game is super inspiring! Congrats to the team, you all did amazing! :)
Atmosphere is on point!
But the balance is broken. It's really hard to learn how to avoid enemies when they stack up after every tape and you have to start over every time you fail.
Overall extremely impressive work. Enjoyed it a lot!
Wow that was really cool! Nice shock when I saw the floating spirit...
Very impressive. The game feels quite polished, especially when you consider it was created in only seven days. The map is large, the gameloop is solid, and it’s very creepy. I think features such as checkpoints and re-working the stamina (as others have mentioned) would help take this to the next level. Good work!
The whole concept is great and the mechanic to find and record the statics are quite well done. I was surprise when the gate opened and there was aw whole new area to explore outside. My mistake was to turn around as I was curious about the noises, the "thing" catched up with me as I was putting down the second tape and killed me inside the house (where I thought I was safe). And it sent me back to tape one to record. That ruined my enjoyment a bit as with the low stamina it took me already a long time to record the first tape.
Very cool and creepy game, with interesting mechanic. I was startled the first time I saw the "sprite" just after a scan.
Just not very fan of the low running stamina.
Great artstyle, great sound design big map and a nice concept! This game is amazing! Especially the level of detail is impressive, like the change of acoustics inside of bulding for example.
Amazing game, reminded me of "Voices of the Void". The atmosphere is scary. The device is well made, I liked the mechanics of searching for records. After the first death, for some reason the game broke, the gates were closed and when trying to talk to the boss, there was an empty dialogue. Despite this bug, everything else is done cool. Good job!
Thanks a ton! I just caught this bug too I'll try to hot patch it asap
Yo, this is really good! It looks great and got interesting mechanics, it's pretty big too!
Night lighting can be tricky to do but I think you got it just right, it's dark and creepy but not difficult to see. Really good job.
Thank you <3
Awesome game!! Super massive map too, impressive.
wow, what a game, this is gorgeous!! and massive! very impressive
