I really like this. It also makes you look smarter than you are by revealing words you didn't even know existed

The polish on this is UNBELIEVABLE!! Super cool concept, it gets really tricky! Love the way you tied it into the theme with the multiplier. :D
Really enjoyable! Excellent concept and gameplay! Love the leaderboard! Awesome!
This is one of the coolest games of the jam cool combination of tetris and scrabble
A very enjoyable game. Surprisingly polished and finished.
But even in my native language this kind of game is very difficult for me. And I can't play it in English.
Fun game and really good considering this jam only lasted for three days. Did you take any inspiration from bookworm adventures by any chance? The main character was also named lex and made similar noises to this character.
Umm, no. I know of the game but never played or even seen it. I guess the Lex name is kinda obvious choice though cause in both cases it is a play on lexicon. This style of noises on "speech" is kinda my goto nowadays. I think the inspiration mainly comes from Animal Crossing even though their system is way more in depth than my "just record a bunch of syllables and play them randomly on start of a word". And as a funny trivia, these syllables are what from Finnish words for few cat and dog family species. The sound quality is quite horrible too. They were recorded with a laptop mic and the room is way too echoey too since I moved quite recently and don't have curtains etc on my office.
Damn, this is really polished with cure visuals, great sounds, and a LEADERBOARD WHAAAT?! Really well-done man, 5/5
I really liked the art style and theming of the game. Also great job with adding a leaderboard to it!
Not totally sure how it fits with the theme (maybe by killing the letters is progress but it also feels progress by getting points). My game wasn't really on theme either so that isn't a big thing.
Hyvää työtä Antti!
Good Job, very polished game! How did you managed to to this game in 72 hours? You are a magician, aren't you? Anyways, i had a lot of fun and i love the visuals.
This game is oozing with game juice, I love it! Quite a soothing game, even if I suck at words! Stunning to look at too, honestly well done with it all.
I did find a bug where sometimes my tiles would already apparently contain a 3-letter word, so as soon as I put it on the board it counted it. But this is a small annoyance I'm sure!
I'm impressed! VERY polished - especially for a game jam! I rather liked the background music, it fit the tone of the game. And the guy was SO cute!
Some small tweaks I would recommend:
1) The hand has a tendency to block letters when holding blocks. I had to keep putting the blocks back down to read the letters. Making the hand translucent when holding an item would fix this.
2) I would encourage playing with letting players see the immediate next set of letters (like in Tetris). It might make for more strategic play if I can plan for longer words. As is, the play goes from trying to carefully plan out words at the beginning to just putting blocks anywhere by the mid-game. Still, vrey fun!
Really nice game. It seemed super polished.
I Would Really Appreciate it if you played my game
How on earth did you manage to make this in 72 hours.... I came 72nd on the leaderboard. I like how I didn't give my location yet it still knew which flag to use... are you spying on me? I started by taking my time to try and find words but then ended up Just dragging the shapes into spaces that they fit as I wanted to increase my multiplier. However I seemed to have more success that way LOL, I don't know... fun game though. The music was nice at first but got a little annoying after a few minutes (it would be good to have the music speed up as you fill more of the board). Anyway, good job!
Haha, only had 48 hours since I had to work today. But thanks for playing and the feedback! ❤️
The location is pulled off by your ip address. Yeah dragging the pieces the in like full "tetris mode" gets you probably to something like 700-800 points but I never got past a thousand with playing like that. And getting past 2k (as it seems like someone already did) is most likely impossible that way.
