Short, simple, fun and meme name what more can you ask for?

Short game good try

You should add future stages in the future

Short and sweet. I don't think anyone will speedrun a game jam game btw lol. Good job on the game!

Hey! I have some feedback:

- Add coyote jump. Every platformer feels bad if they don't have it. Coyote jump means that you can jump a couple of frames after you are not grounded anymore.

- Avoid making the player the same color as the ground if you are only using geometrical shapes.

Pretty easy game:

A simple fun and short game. It felt a lot more like a metroidvania tbh lol. Rather nice overall, you could probably do more with this. I liked the level design here, didn't really expect things to open up the way they did. And as you say it's rather nice for speedrunning. A nice entry

World records in all the speedrun categories go brrrr. I think now I have all of them. Your game is simple but I think too short. Nevertheless, it is great for a first game and the controls are very smooth.

Honestly, this game is not great. But for your first game. It's pretty good! You pretty much covered all the important stuff. It's probably better than my first game, and I made that in a week. I think this is a really good starting point to jump from and become a great gamedev :) good luck!

It is a fun game! I always find it fun to go against the narrator but at the end room when you go back you get teleported far away and you can't see the cube.

Pretty fun! I like the sound effects and the main idea of the game, simplicity at its best!

Kinda fun!

I liked this a lot, but I have a few issues with movement.

- I know you are using Godot, so if this is a KinematicBody2D node for the player using move_and_slide(), so use if is_on_ceiling(): to make it so your velocity Y resets if you hit the roof.

- It feels better if you hit the ground faster than it takes to get up. Not realistic, but feels better. If done right, which I recommend putting gravity on a curve resource that gets higher. Good video about curves in games:

- It feels weird that you move much faster horizontally than vertically. Increased jump speed and gravity are what I recommend.

And a visual tip: For shape graphics games like this, I recommend getting a good color palette and using bloom. A good bloom tutorial in Godot:

This is not bad for a first published game :)!

Glad you enjoyed the game!

Thanks for those tutorials, ill surely check those out. It was still my first game so i think its still atleast OK lol

Great game!

Had a bit of struggling figuring out that i can go to the left side, i was laughing when i found out that i can go left. I felt dumb haha.

The game itself is short, the flags were a bit blurry, and there was sadly only one sound, the jump.

Good job on making your first game published! Keep up the good work! :))

Yeah, REALLY SORRY for making a game short, but i got demotivated 3 times at the level design, I would surely makee this game longer tho. Flags were blurry because it was my first time actually trying to create a pixel art of any sort... and I didnt think out the sizing correctly. For sounds, i used SFXR to create the jump sound, bbecause it was the most okay for me. And since I didnt have any other ideas for sounds, it had to be enough. I actually plan on making this game a full release with actual narratives and stuff. Thank you for the kind words though! :D

Good luck for your full release!

Don't get demotivated at the level design, atleast if you'll fail, there will be peoples who help you improve.:)
Flag's blurryness can be fixed really easily, click on your sprite and change the Filter mode to Point (none). :D

I had a good time, I recommend you playing Timmy The Flag (another funny take on having fun with flagpoles XD), and, my own game of course.

Congrats on your first published game!

Neat idea. The camera sort of freaked out when I walked towards the door in the room full of flags. Still a fun experience.

Cool idea, reminds me of the Stanley Parable. The visuals could use some work, but good job! :)

Developer(+1)

The Stanley Parable was originally thee game i wanted to take as much inspiration as i can lol. About visuals, eeven in school i cannot do arts well, so basic shapes were the way to go. I am sttill proud of the flag since it was my first pixel art ever! :D

A couple of suggestions:

Coyote Team would help the platforming feel more fair.

Some sort of squish and stretch animation when the player lands and jumps can add a lot of visual appeal.
