Wow, such an incredible execution! This game is absolutely top-tier. The idea, graphics, music, animations — everything is fantastic. So many well-designed levels created in just a month — that’s beyond impressive. Thank you for this amazing game!

Great game. Enjoy so many playable levels.

Fun game. Love the different looks of the abilities like the Sam Fisher nightvision goggles. XD

The squirrel animation is also pretty cool. Good job guys.

This is a great game - it's ramps up the difficulty well, the art and the post production effect. The sound and music go well with it, too. I should try it out -- it just didn't seem like enemies "see" me?

Developer

Thank you for the kind words. You got it right, the enemies don't care about our little hero, they are just patrolling :)

Loved everything about this, amazing job guys!

Fun gameplay, I liked the map screen before each level.

Loved the art! Game worked perfectly and is very polished, I think main menu audio would be a perfect fit!

A very fun game! I really enjoyed the visuals, sound effects and the gameplay. Great work!

I was stuck playing with the level select screen for longer than I want to admit :P
Lovely art and SFX, great work!

thank you very much :D yeah it was a small coding experiment, stole the idea from balatro, where there is a really subtle parallax effect on mouse movement, then pimped it a little bit. spent more time on this then some of the actual game mechanics, but it's always so fun to work on vfx things like this :D

Looks good, sounds good, controls are responsive and everything is so smooth.
I think the level design is great, I thought that the hide mechanic was useless at first but It became important in later levels. The only thing that could be better is the presence of secrets in the game.
Good job to everyone who made this, I hope It gets high in rating!

thanks for the comment and the kind words. tbf almost every level has secret nuts hidden in hiding spots to collect and the whole premise of the game is about a secret agent, but I agree, secrets could be more highlighted or more mechanics built around them

This game is nuts!

Developer

hehe nice one, thanks 😃

I see many squirrels where I live and have the perfect moveset to be secret agents :P Great inspiration!

The game was smooth and I had a lot of fun playing it. Good job :)

The concept and mechanics are great :D

Sam fisher squirrel for life! Hey did you know it's almost always faster to get killed when you got all the nuts (Even the secret ones) on a level to get to the exfil spot? I did haha. What a whacky game. I do love the premise and the execution works well (The bottom right robot on level 9 that just wanders out of the level notwithstanding). I had fun stealing the robot guarded nuts.

Developer(+1)

we tried to polish the game and fix most bugs but thought about that one fed-up robot to have their luck, and leave them look for the wonders of the world if that’s their true calling

This is an excellent game. 25 levels is crazy good for a Game Jam, new abilities to gradually take you through all the mechanics is great and makes passing through the levels a pleasure to do. I love that retro tv/arcade effect you've given the game too - is that a Shader of some sort? I'm not familiar with this from a GoDot perspective. I loved the little sound effects (they were just right). What I really appreciate is that you have a smallish set of assets and you've used them to create a really nice, big experience. Such a great job - well done.

Thank you for the kind words. This was the first time we experimented with shaders, we followed the amazing tutorial of DevPoodle on youtube, worth checking out :).

I had a fun time playing this game! The core mechanic of hiding to bypass enemies made each level fun, and it was the perfect length! Adding gadgets on top of each level added a bit more flavor too so each level felt different. Sometimes I'd try to slip between the bots which felt a bit cheesy and I'd fail trying it often. The retro TV art style is cool, and I loved the way each level was presented. Overall this was super fun, nice job!

Minor bug: once I got x-ray goggles, every time I'd hide it would make a sound like I got a nut. Also sometimes it was unclear to me what areas I could walk through (like ice blocks) and which parts I couldn't.
