Sam fisher squirrel for life! Hey did you know it's almost always faster to get killed when you got all the nuts (Even the secret ones) on a level to get to the exfil spot? I did haha. What a whacky game. I do love the premise and the execution works well (The bottom right robot on level 9 that just wanders out of the level notwithstanding). I had fun stealing the robot guarded nuts.
we tried to polish the game and fix most bugs but thought about that one fed-up robot to have their luck, and leave them look for the wonders of the world if that’s their true calling
Fun game! Cute squirrel.
Lovely puzzle game , really fun to play
Squirrel simulator.
This is an excellent game. 25 levels is crazy good for a Game Jam, new abilities to gradually take you through all the mechanics is great and makes passing through the levels a pleasure to do. I love that retro tv/arcade effect you've given the game too - is that a Shader of some sort? I'm not familiar with this from a GoDot perspective. I loved the little sound effects (they were just right). What I really appreciate is that you have a smallish set of assets and you've used them to create a really nice, big experience. Such a great job - well done.
Thank you for the kind words. This was the first time we experimented with shaders, we followed the amazing tutorial of DevPoodle on youtube, worth checking out :).
I had a fun time playing this game! The core mechanic of hiding to bypass enemies made each level fun, and it was the perfect length! Adding gadgets on top of each level added a bit more flavor too so each level felt different. Sometimes I'd try to slip between the bots which felt a bit cheesy and I'd fail trying it often. The retro TV art style is cool, and I loved the way each level was presented. Overall this was super fun, nice job!
Minor bug: once I got x-ray goggles, every time I'd hide it would make a sound like I got a nut. Also sometimes it was unclear to me what areas I could walk through (like ice blocks) and which parts I couldn't.
