Really solid game. The controls were intuitive and the audio was great. Really nice graphics too.
I might be a bit too dumb to play though, struggled on the first level haha. I'd suggest toning down the first level slightly and also allowing the player to mouse-rect/multi select pieces so they can move them in chunks if they're struggling to get the tower just right.
Great work.
Hi, really cool game idea. very well executed
love the music and sound, especially the "placing block sound" because it is so satisfying.
love the visuals, UI and overall style. had fun with the physics
couldn`t make it past level one thought^^ i guess i have to git good ;)
would have loved to pass level one
Really great concept and execution on this! I really love the way the tower resets if you fail. Though very difficult for me, I kept coming back to try new configurations. I'm very curious what your play testing was like and how you decided the amount of pieces for each level. Overall this felt incredibly polished and well thought out. Excellent work!
Great game!
Couldn't get past the first level without cheats, but that might be a me problem since I didn't play the bridge building game or Angry Birds as a kid :D
I absolutely love the reset animation, when all the blocks go back in time and re-form the tower - I could just sit and watch it again and again for hours!
cool concept ! the sfx were crispy
cool!
Good sense of visual design there! (except for the font color, using plain black would've been more effective there).
I had fun building my tower! The physics toggle was a great addition and keeping it available and visible in the top corner is good UX. Good stuff!
This is like reverse angry birds.
I know what the pigs feel like now :|
But seriously though, the interface is clean, the visuals are effective, and the controls are simple and easy to learn. I liked it, even though I didn't get very far.
i could not get past the first level, but the physics were great and i really enjoyed the look and feel of the game!
Damn, what a harsh learning curve! 😅 I went from failing the first level a million times to finally beating the game.
It’s a very intriguing and fun game concept. I liked the levels where I could shoot the most.
Also, judging by the enemy tower designs, I think my method of solving the game was a bit odd—just stacking wood from thick to thin and tanking all the hits. 😄
We appreciate your grit! I think that one of the most fun parts of the game is finding new methods for builds. My own method didn't quite meet the vision of the programmer either :p so it's nice seeing what you came up with
I think I'm stupid, I couldn't figure out how to control the canon. Before clicking start the cannon did not move by clicking and dragging. And after clicking start a direction thing appeared but the trajectory of the ball didn't change. The building part was very satisfying, though. Would have loved to see the tower crumble
I could not get past the first level. lol. I did enjoy the game though. I think creating easier levels to hook a player in before going so hard would be a good idea. I did really love the art and the sounds were super satisfying. My favorite were the sfx when placing the blocks and removing the blocks. A simple but really fun game, even though it's super frustrating. :)
Your screenshot pulled my attention right away. The initial start of the game would have been more inviting with less of a wall of text explaining everything up front. However even with all the explanation it was confusing what was happening. I really like the idea and think it has potential. I would have enjoyed it more if the difficulty progressed a bit. Where you start the players (especially with a second cannon fire) is brutal. Also I wasn't able to aim the cannon, so was confused on that mechanic. Maybe you could have levels where just one mechanic happens at a time to slowly introduce the different parts. Like the first level's goal is to build a tower to surround the ball, then another is to block a single cannon shot, then eventually need to block multiple? Since you don't start the player with a canon (at least I didn't see one) explaining you can aim one doesn't make sense.
Your game is brutally hard, nearly impossible, not at all beginner friendly, and really, really fun to play. Well done!
hell yeah, thanks
I didn't have a lot of success actually building a defensive structure, but the building mechanics were inviting and satisfying to play with, and that's enough for me! Really good game-feel and a cool premise. Nice work!
Loved the idea of building and defending the ball! The block mechanics and cannon fire added a fun challenge. Caught me a bit off guard when the cannon shot a sound round the first time lol.
Super fun game with cool graphics and sounds!
I wasn't able to protect from more than one or two cannon shots, but really nice execution!
The aiming thing is a bit confusing. What cannon are we supposed to shoot?
Thanks for playing! Your cannon is the only one aimed at the right side.
