Game genre: Cinematic - Enigmatic - Puzzle
Story suggestion :
- 🎧 Music 1 : a dream -
L is agoraphobic. She has difficulty leaving the safety of her house and is taken care of by her older sister. L dreams of going to the sea, but has never been able to. Paintings of the sea are pinned to the wall, reference pictures and an encyclopedia of seashells are lain open on the floor. You explore the room, but your primary goal is to get L to leave the comfort of her room and push herself to go outside.
- 🎧 Music 2 : train enigma -
L musters up the courage to go to the train station. She already know which train would lead her to her destination. Standing on the platform, she is agitated by the constant shuffle of daily commuters and lively travellers. As a train is approaching, L. feels overwhelmed by the crowd. Before she knows it, she finds herself on the track. As the train draws near, time slows down. Seconds now feel like minutes. Will you save her in time ?
- 🎧 Music 3 : retrospection -
L is now inside of the train leading to her destination. Following this event, L doesn't feel well and her head starts spinning. Her vision becomes blurry as she realises what she is doing. How much longer can she endure?
- 🎧 Music 4 : open your eyes -
Leaving the train, L starts running, her arm covering teary eyes, dodging the gaze of curious onlookers.
Wiping her eyes, L realises that she is standing on unfamiliar terrain. Lifting her head, she finds herself facing the sea. Her tourment turns into relief and then into tears of joy. She made it.

Very unique and interesting concept to present the theme of time as a person's perception and reaction to the world around them. In "Train Enigma," - this idea is evoked perfectly by the intensity of the low rhythmic synth. It's almost overwhelming to the listener, mirroring the feeling of being overstimulated. The resolution in "Open Your Eyes" is powerful and is a great conclusion to the soundtrack. The instruments you used pair work well for this type of genre, and I can definitely imagine this as a sort of visual novel or text-heavy game. Excellent work!
Lovely, immersive ambient sound design and music. Your game concept also stands out - you had a fresh approach to the theme and delved deep into the emotions of your story through your soundtrack. A wonderful submission to the jam!
A dream: Such a pretty ambient track. I love the clock timings.
Train Enigma: Love a good I-iv. Then catches me off-guard with the Phrygian Dominant feel later. Cinematic feel.
Retrospection: starting off with the same progression as the previous track, but leaning further into it. It's a really effective one for the time theme imo.
Open Your Eyes: Great arpeggios and love the bells. Love that swell towards the end.
Great work!
Really great stuff! It's very soothing, and the use of sound effects works well to immerse me in these scenarios!
1. A dream : I love it! Those bubbly synth loops bouncing and responding to each other are hypnotic. Plus these kind of white noise effects like sand or falling stars, wow.
2. Train enigma : the train station bell sound fading into a clock sound, mimicking the train wheels on rails... Superb idea honestly, you made it work so well 👌. It made me feel on that train with that same background type of looping synth like if it was still a strange dream!
3. Retrospection : I love those chords... And the way you develop it, there is a big attention to details, I could hear some high pitched bells like a glockenspiel or something at some point accompanying the movement.
4. Open your eyes : Beautiful ending, those arpeggiatos are delightful and the synth is very incorporated very well. I could not really feel release but still a bit of sadness, bitterness maybe (I don't have many adjectives in my library ^^)
Again, the work you put behind these tracks is fantastic, it seems simple but I feel like every single element is well mixed and present on purpose. Superb quality! Bravo :D
I only have one suggestion for future submissions. Maybe you could add the description of each song on each yt video. It makes it easier for phone users like me at the moment, cause I couldn't read and listen at the same time. Tiny detail haha ^^
This is absolutely amazing, the story, the emotions, the sound design, everything complemented each other perfectly! I actually had shivers listening to this, the idea of taking the time prompt and using it to express anxiety works perfectly and is genius. I don't know how to express it really, but your melodies are very deep, eery and they seem to tell the story of something hidden, they don't tell everything yet still tell just enough and so it works perfectly with the story portrayed.
I just really really wish their was more! Keep up the amazing work, looking forward to your next project!
A Dream: This ethereal sound is perfect for a dreamscape. I really like the ambient wind sounds. The bells and ticking sounds seem to contrast dream-state and reality. This is a really cool effect!
Train Enigma: The train approaching sound effect is cool and I can see the image of L blacking out just before the train almost hits. I really like the reverby piano sounds in this track.
Retrospection: This makes me feel like I’m on a dream train. I love the chord changes especially with the piano pedal tone, making it seem like things aren’t completely real but also not completely false.
Open Your Eyes: The mellow pulsing and gentle ticking give more direction versus the floatiness of the previous dreamy tracks. I love the gentle rain stick effect for arriving at the ocean and realizing that all is okay.
Overall: This is an impressive short story that you have done an excellent job conveying musically. The overall vibe is soft and serene, but you were able to manage to incorporate many different emotions throughout. Great work and thank you for sharing!
I love how HUGE the atmosphere in these tracks is. Good mixing and sound design overall with the third track sounding a little boxy but not enough to ruin the entire song. The piano at the end of the last track was very satisfying to listen to.
Very interesting sound, it really brought me to the story! I think it would be great as a short film too!
Instruments are impressed music and arranged are beautiful
Great sound work, and it works very, very well.
My listening was lost in the ambient sounds, in the layers and in the piano that subtly adds to the melody.
Very pleasant to listen to. Perfect for a video game, you've really grasped how to create a mood without drawing too much attention. It's subtle and controlled.
This soundtrack is just great! Right chosen instruments and soundings and nice mixing! Well done!
The sound effects give the listener a picture of the physical world, but the music evokes the a nearly surreal experience of her mental state as she tries to go outside her comfort zone. A thoroughly engrossing journey.
Beautiful sound design. Loved all those windy, shimmery sand-like sweeps and clock ticking pulses. Well done!
Very impressive work! I love Train Enigma, trully enigmatic track!
It's a beautiful story, and the music perfectly matches its emotions. Very good composition!
P.S. I listened twice because I forgot to rate the first time (couple of days ago). I soon realized it when it started playing, so your OST is definitely recognizable and special!
These tracks are so beautifully composed! I like how the ambient feel along with the touching story that you provided. Well done!
I really like the story you have put forth! Each track gives a dissociative, dream-like quality that makes it feel like an out of body experience. The constant ticking is a nice touch as well! I think the final track could have delivered a bit more on the feeling of relief and realizing ones dreams, but overall I really enjoyed listening. Great work!
I love the intense yet relaxing feel to the score! The ambient nature really gives an ethereal and dreamlike quality detailing the passage of time and makes it an absolute joy to listen to.
Thank you, very thrilled that you liked my music.
I really like this take on the theme and also how it is performed. The surreal, dreamy vibe is very seductive, and I can easily imagine this music in an non-standrad kind of game. Great job!
Thank you !
