  • Really like the visual but the '240p esque' filter was a bit much for me. Enjoyed the music and gameplay

Pretty neat! Love me some rhythm games :D

I think the platforming overall was a pretty good difficulty, and seeing the 2nd half change one beats 1 and 2 made it an interesting challenge. I struggled with the camera a bit, and some of the perspectives made jumps difficult (especially the one right after the platforms in the wall), but otherwise this is a solid game!

i always feel like the rhythm based sections of most platformers are the coolest levels, and this game is just that. the retro graphics reminds me of a short hike, although i will say that i don't really like how blurry they are,  i feel like a crisp pixelated style might be better for clarity. the songs absolutely slap and the ghost is so full of charm. good game!

thanks for showing us some banger songs! im currently listening to "Shine" while writing this xd. anyways, this game is really fun! i always loved those cassette tape sections in Celeste where the platforms would pop in and out based on the beat, and this game nails that mechanic! the game plays around with different beat times (both linear and irregular) to shift when the objects behave, creating this nice learning curve to carefully look and understand how things are changing based on the beat! also really like how there are collectibles in the game! adds a lot of replay value to it!

the visuals also look really nice! i also love how bouncy everything feels, from how the objects pop in and out based on the beat to how our little ghost friend bounces to the beat as well! though i think the film grain and the pixelization (and maybe the depth of field?) of the game might be a little bit overdone, but i like the idea overall, still looks nice! maybe it would have been cool to have an option to turn off the post processing effects (like in A Short Hike, though i never really did that), because i also like how smoother the visuals look in the thumbnail of the game (with the ghost and the radio) but that's just personal preference. though the colors used for the different realms look really good! the colors for both worlds are visually distinct from each while still fitting to what each of the realms are supposed to be, which is nice! also love the sort of ghostly shader that hides some of the tree in the ghost realm, really sells that environment more, great touch!

overall, i had a ton of fun! this was also a good speedrunning game given how short it is! unfortunately couldn't spend too much time on this, but fastest any% time i got was 41:87, unfortunately choked a little bit at the end (sub 41 and maybe sub 40 is probably possible if you have confidence of a god during the 2nd half of the game xd). really enjoyed it, great work!

You definitely nailed all the games I used as inspiration!

Thank you for the feedback and for playing the game. I will definitely publish a fix after this jam.

Also congrats on the time, that is really impressive!

This is very cool! I'm not a fan of rage platformers, but this is very well-made.

Well done!

Hi, the game has a lot of potential and looks very polished. Too pixelated in my opinion, and with the camera is difficult to understand the depth/height of some obstacles. With some additional polishing and some changes it could blow up. The core concept is really cool and well implemented.

Keep it up and good luck! <3333

This is a wonderful gameplay idea! I also love the retro graphics style.

Cool game! I find that the camera moves too quickly and the game is a little too pixelated in my opinion. Overall, good job!

Developer

Thank you! Those are definitely the biggest issues for most people and will definitely get them fixed on the post jam version.

Banger music choices, this gets really groovy! The main gimmick is a classy on-off blocks with timings, but I like how you added some twists like turning off the music, and having different moving patterns according to the song.

Now this is a game with juice! Nicely done, love the way the foreground disappears when you go behind larger objects

Didn't liked camera but liked graphics. Good stuff.

The visuals are quite nice and fit well together with the audio. I agree with everything being a bit too much pixelated.
I struggled a lot with the camera. It moved always to fast when I moved it. Maybe a less limited camera (limited regarding constraint angles) would have been good here. To allow looking up for example.
The way the environment beats to the music is great too.
Nice one!

The visuals are good (just a little bit too pixelated for my taste), and the music is great ! I like how the trees and environment bounces and reacts to the music. Well done!
