Great game I love deck builders so this entry was really fun for me. I loved the enemies like the mimic who ate your dice or the boss that made some of the dice cursed so I had to really think about the encounter.

Developer

Thanks! Those are definitely my favorite encounters as well. I'd love to add more enemies that manipulate your dice somehow.

Great idea and wonderful interpretation of the theme.

Really fun and intuitive game system! I would've liked a faster way to use dice (perhaps click+drag over dice instead of clicking one by one), but besides that I had a blast.

This is a relatively complicated premise but if you give it some time you'll enjoy yourself. Ultimately very fun and creative with a cool twist on the mode theme. This one has some good bones. Great job!

Great interplay between the two card types, I think the discarding and manipulating of the dice really injects a lot of skill into an otherwise fairly RNG-driven system, and each turn feels a lot more thoughtful and engaging to play as a result.

Fun game! It took me some time to get the hang of it, but I kept getting better with each run. I like the ideas for the cards too. It's a little hard to see the checkmarks on dice when they're above the mode flame animation.  Fun game all around. I hope you add more content!

Hey, really great job on this. It's the first card game I've seen in the jam, so you definitely get originality points. There's something really great about the hand drawn doodles for the card art haha. It took me a little while to wrap my head around the core dice mechanic, but once I figured out I had a lot of fun with it. I would try to clarify the game's instructions a bit to help players who aren't as familiar with card games (like me lol). Nice work!

This is a really charming game. The hand drawn art is surprisingly effective, and it does a great job of helping you identify the purpose of cards at a glance. The enemy designs are really adorable.

One thing I really appreciated about this game is that it often tells you the results of a risky choice up front, and always at least tells you what price you'll have to pay. That's refreshing compared to if the game had leaned into the dice games = chance angle and had made everything a big blind risk. In other words I thought it was nice that the combat game play is based on a balance of skill and chance but the rewards mostly aren't based on chance, that's a big quality of life benefit.

Good game! I wish it had more deckbuilding opportunities at the beginning, would make each game a bit different. Felt like around 1/3 of my hands were useless, getting all block and rerolls or bleeds with die adjustment cards. I enjoyed it!

Developer

Thank you! I totally agree-- I unfortunately got pretty sick last week and was not able to build out as many cards as I had hoped. I think it would be cool if you could pick from a few starter decks, or maybe get a few initial drafts for free before the first fight.

Could use a better tutorial for noobs like me. I love the enemy and card graphics and I wish the player character looked like that, too.

I love the idea but there isn't enough draw or engine cards to churn through so you end up with a bunch of cards that don't do anything most of the time (block cards when opponents aren't attacking or die manipulation cards with no modal cards in hand), it might have been better to have unused dice and/or cards carry over between turns to allow more tactical play.

Nice game! The idea is really good, and all the mechanics are well thought out. I wish there were more combo cards and fewer guard and slash cards so you could use the dice mechanics more. Love the card art!
