How does your game represent "Power"?
The power fills the lines! It powers the television our poor lineman desperately wants to watch. The flow and direction of power are integral to "LineMan".

This is a very cool puzzle design.

I think a thing that might improve the game is displaying which power lines are charged (and in which direction)... Currently, in order to figure out the direction of a circuit the player has to trace forwards from the last switch, and it isn't always super clear how the power lines are connected (there are some obfuscated T-Junctions in places that I'm still not sure how the connection worked, but I beat it via trial and error).

It's a solid challenge though, it gets complicated pretty quickly. It's a pretty excellent puzzle game to have made within the few days of the game jam!

Hey, thanks for playing my game! The original plan was to have each line show if it was being powered, but unfortunately the Gameboy is limited to rendering 10 animated sprites at one time, so it had to be axed pretty early on. If I was to work on the game past the game jam at all though I would definitely want to improve the visual clarity of some of the lines and switches. Seems like a common complaint :/

Awesome puzzle game, with a great style! Even cooler that you made it so it can be ran on a gameboy, I love that.

Love the GameBoy aesthetic! And very nice puzzle mechanics, maybe a bit too complex in certain levels

It was pretty hard to get started but I think it's worth it. Definitely not an easy puzzle game, and the power lines are sometimes confusing. But, it's really rewarding when you finally figure out something and I had a lot of fun with it

Man I cannot figure out this game

That's an interesting transistor game! Also loved the art and sound.

Everything about this is sick!!! The color palette, the soundtrack, the puzzle design-- I enjoyed it a lot! And big kudos for developing in GB Studio :') I love a good GameBoy game

the colors are so so good!

I loved the retro music and art-style! My brain however did not love being turned into jelly haha, 10 stars!

Love the graphics and the theme of this game! I was very puzzled for most of it too :)

I am so bad at puzzle games, but this really had me intrigued, definitely confused, but that is more cuz of how bad I am at puzzle games, I had a lot of fun playing this though! and i like that you stuck with one color for the design!

The aesthetic and music is right on the money! It also controls super well, although I wish the lines had more contrast to understand what's going on. Outside of that I had a lot of fun spending an embarrasing amount of time figuring out puzzles.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the contrast was definitely something I got feedback on during playtesting. I did add a few differences but the gameboy palette is so limited :/ Thank you for playing!

you turned my brain into a silly straw

I think I don't have enough braincell power for these puzzles but the game is very aesthetically pleasing and the fact that there is a Gameboy build is epic.

I love the gameboy aesthetic the music is just the cherry on top! i couldn't figure out how to pull the batteries though but none the less very fun and well designed puzzles!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, that was a worry of mine.  You have to hold X then press Z. If I had more time I would have liked to change it to just X but so goes a gamejam :(

The aesthetic is spot on! It is sometimes hard to distinguish which circuits do what, and a quick fix for that would have been to give them characteristic widths or patterns, but I love the presentation. Thanks for the experience. Cheers!

Such a fun puzzler! The GB aesthetic was so good I felt transported legit like I had just flipped on my GameBoy. Big fan!

This is a pretty perfect recreation of the game boy aesthetic! I really enjoyed the simple puzzle mechanics and I liked having to try and follow the different power lines to see where the power was going. A very simple but very effective little puzzle game. Well done!

i like it!
There's a lot left to be polished tho. The difficulty curve is not the best. You can also make the controls more minimal - instead of a dedicated button for interaction, you can have the character walk into an object to interact with it. A nice game already tho

I liked the game, it has a vibe of gameboy games!
