How does your game represent "Power"?
The power fills the lines! It powers the television our poor lineman desperately wants to watch. The flow and direction of power are integral to "LineMan".

Nice work, loving the gameboy aesthetic and palette on this. Puzzles were clever as well!

This game was pretty cool! I liked the GB engine rep in bigmode!

I had a lot of fun with this game, and I really like that you used the GB engine for it. The sheer amount of wires was difficult to wrap my head around, especially since they were the same color (though you'd lose the GB feel by making them distinctly colored) and I was mostly making decisions based on intuition, which worked out for me. Still, the puzzles were fun, the ability to pull was incredible, and vibe was very arcade-y. Good stuff!

The music rally made it feel like an arcade game! Cool!

Amazing GB game! I love how cool games with such limitations can be nowadays still! Really great work!

Admittedly defeated by level 3 - But I had good fun trying to solve them, very nice job!
A few little touches would of really elevated this would be a some sound effects for the various interactions.
Powering up and opening doors ects. And showing the  flow of power more visually along the pipe - even if very subtly would make easier to see where things are going.

sily little puzzle game. im ngl, i got stuck trying to squeeze the battery between the doorway and the relay for an embarrassingly long time. good stuff brother.

100% something I would play the crap out of in bed at night with my full stereo, light, and magnifier GBC attachment

Super clever puzzler! You could get pretty crazy with this. Someday someone will build Line Man in Line Man. Loved it. Hope you keep improving it, adding a couple more tunes would go a long way.

Very neat puzzle game, I like how you incorporated the theme, but I couldn't get past level 3. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get the block through the doorway tbh lol.

Developer

Thanks for playing my game. Level three in particular has a second battery to use on the other side of the doorway. Future levels you can take them through but I hadn't figured it out when I was making that level (-‿-")

Oh lol. Well I'll try it again with this new found knowledge then!

It's cool to see a genuine Game Boy game here! Despite graphcis being hard to read, I really enjoyed the first couple of puzzles. Once I got to the third one though (the one at your fifth screenshot), I had no idea what to do. But regardless, I had great time figuring out those first two puzzles! Nicely done!

Developer

It was added a little late in development so it wasn't mapped very well, but if you press A (or Z on keyboard) while pressing B (or X on keyboard) you can back up with the battery to prevent getting stuck. I'm assuming that's the issue you ran into, as its been a pretty common one (⭑•͈ 𓎟 •͈ )

Oh wow, that actually makes a lot of sense! I was wondering if I could do something like that since the puzzle made no sense otherwise. I knew I was missing something, thanks for clarifying!

Love the retro aesthetic!  As has been mentioned though the graphical limitations make it harder to communicate the puzzle state. You have to be careful not to goof it and trap yourself as the levels can take some time.  It's satisfying once you’ve solved a level though, great job

i like it! the thing i struggled with the most was reading the current state of the puzzle, i think it'd be nice if the whole cable were animated when powered.

Overall, pretty enjoyable! Some of the puzzles can be a bit tedious, but besides that, I really enjoyed it. :)

very cool puzzle, really enjoyed all the “aha” moments

The puzzle idea of this game is amazing! It can get pretty complex with all the wiring and routing, a brain cracker for sure. Nice job!
