Sucking up the power in the 2d section was simple yet satisfying. Great spritework for Puncho. Very creative switching to a different medium for the fight at the end! My small suggestion would be to adjust the collision on the buildings so you can walk behind the top half to help them feel less like a flat object. Overall fun game!

This is awesome. I'm a sucker for punch-out type games and collect the things type games so this fired on every cylinder for me. Loved the sound effect hitting the boss like he's this big menacing mech but hitting him sounds like an empty trash can. I did have some trouble understanding the dodge timing, I must have been going too early on each one I think since they were pretty readable. Just spitballing but it might be cool if in a later version of the game when you're collecting stuff, there might be ways to mutate and upgrade your kaiju down different paths.
Was totally not expecting the shift to 3D Punch Out, but I was very pleasantly surprised, led to an enjoyable gameplay loop. Great work!
Love the idea of a punch-out style boss fight. Second boss kicked my butt because I wasn't too sure how to properly dodge his attacks. Despite moving away I still got chunked every punch. Overall really cool concept with an arcade feel, which I'm all for.
The transition from the 3d puncher game and the fist fight was really cool! It caught me off guard, and I afterwards got invested for the next levels. Also, the power-ups/ collectibles were a nice addition as well. The music of this game was honestly really good as well. I would be curious to see a gameloop like this fleshed out. Great job!
Really good game! The transition to 3D for the fist fight was cool. I love the behind-the-shoulder view, reminds me of Super Punch-Out. I think my biggest praise would be the arcade vibes it has, as everyone else has said. It has a good game loop that keeps making you want to play more. I could easily see this as an arcade machine that would just suck quarters straight from peoples' pockets xD One critique I'd give would be for the background of the 3D fight sequence. I think something simple would have been good, but as it is now it's a little bland in my opinion. Really good job on the game!
I love it! I love how arcadey it is, and I loved the transition to 3D for the boss fight. You should continue work on this after the game jam and flesh it out some more! There's a lot of potential.

Just finished it, the game was cool, i loved how you added the punch out gameplay mechanics, the sfx fighting sounds where really good, and the ost to, i really hope you can implement after the gamejam more things to the game, cause this could have a lot of potential, it was really fun to play it!!!
very addicting and thought-out gameplay, i love the art, got to Lv. 40 and decided to stop it there, the city may rest. (I've barely beaten the lvl 40 boss with 1% hp left, im stressed). I loved it!
WAY more fun/addicting than i thought it would be. Also the music is perfect for this, really sends u into a weird frenzy of collecting balls and destroying buildings
Fun game! Punching down buildings, collecting orbs to punch harder, then proceeding to completely obliterate the opposing robot while he just sits there and eats knuckle sandwiches. Good work :D
EDIT: that Industrial sounding music is FIRE!!!
