haha i liked the little pig tail

Developer

Thanks.

Nice job on the game! Love the piggy bank theme My only critiques would be a box collider on the pig (kept getting stuck on the snout).

Developer

Thank you for the feedback.

Hey, nice game, the simplistic art fit perfectly with this game.

Just 1 or 2 things for you to improve, The collider fitting the pig shape is nice, but sometimes you get stuck if jumping into a block corner, which force you to move back and forth if you want to jump again. In my opinion, a box collider fitting the width and height of the player would be better.

And last but not least, the enemies are so cute and shiny, that you don't know if they kill you or not, at least I had that problem. Maybe if they had spikes... xD (I don't know, im not an expert).

Nice game tho, I like it <3

Developer

Thank you.

I absolutely love how the pink slimes work, how you had to get past them differently depending on your jump height. Very fun and enjoyable!

Developer

Thank you.

very cool!

I like the game, that pig is adorable. I think it will be much improved if you just put a box collider on the pig, instead of a custom one. The music also gets along pretty well. Did you make it?

Developer

Yes, I did, all by myself. I do not want to use a box collider because the pig will have bad physics.

Submitted

Well, you did a very good job with the music!

Developer

Thanks.

Hi! I liked the backstory and the phrases everywhere, they make the game interesting as a whole! However there are some things I think can be improved. General remarks:

- Music was great but the jumping sounds were much louder, could be a lot softer

- Controls wise, I like the left right input but at times the character would get stuck halfway on a tile (having its nose on a higher tile but not its whole body etc) and I think it could be better if you used just a box collider on it

- Loved the smooth camera flow! Did you use lerp? I think it could have be more to the left though (if we could see more of the right part of the screen where the character is heading)

Overall goodjob and I love the design!

Developer

I used Cinemachine from the Unity package manager.

Thank you for the feedback.

Arg! Those menacing little blobs!  Cute main character and interesting concept.  It was fun to jump around with him and I really enjoyed the music.  I did find it a little discouraging that I had to go all the way back to the beginning every time I hit a blob.  And I got stuck a lot on my chin. Maybe I'm just a bad jumper?  Anyways, great work!  If you get a chance, I'd love for you to check out my submission.

I will.

I liked when I became Super Pig, flying over the tall walls with ease! Loved that it had a story line to it and the music added to that story line. I feel like you added the elements and jump changes at a nice pace, which made me keep going to see how high I could go next. The only thing that didn't match for me, was the jump SFX. Just jarred with the music a bit but that could just be me. Lovely little game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback. Next time I will make the jump sound better.

Gus spends coins to get to his gf.

Gus is a simp.

But he is a cute simp, so I will allow it.

Here is my rating. Keep up the good work!

Pretty cool idea and level design!

Thanks.

Time to make your day :)

Didn't notice any difference between web build and linux build. Are you playing a video?

Developer

I watched all of the videos but the only difference I could find is that when you choose the one where HTML5 uses one gun. He falls down the stairs. But in the web version. Flash shoots HTML5.

Wrong thread bud, I was talking about your game! What is supposed to happen at the end? I only saw blue and heard a bit of music.

Developer

I did notice. However, In the end. It would have said

Greedy Gus found his girlfriend, but they are stuck in the tower.

To be continued.

Special thanks to BlackThornProd for hosting this game jam.

And thank you to everyone who played this game.

It was very tough to make.

But due to rendering issues, the ending is all blue. Play the Downloadable versions next time.

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I downloaded the linux version, but its the same there! That's why I was asking

Developer

Oh, I don't know why this error is on web and linux builds. This happened to many of my games. This might be because if a corrupts  file error.

Submitted(+1)

I was wondering if you play a video file! Or is it simply some scene that you show?

Developer

That is a scene.

Submitted(+1)

weird, but ok, I won't bother you about this anymore.

Developer

Thanks.

I like the idea of the game and the mechanics. The art is good! Soo in general everything is good! Good job! Keep it up!

P.S. Sometimes the player stuck (when you jump). I don’t know what you have used but if it was 2D Tilemap Collider then you can check the Used By Composite, this group all boxes like a unic box and the problem is fixed.

Developer

Thanks. But I did use composite collider. It must be because of the snout of the pig.

Submitted(+1)

Oooh okay got it.

Have you changed the Rigidbody2D to Kinematic?

Or add FixedUpdate (if you don’t have).

Sometimes it has happened when you use box collider try something else like a sphere or capsule.

Developer

Thanks, but I don't want the snout going through the wall.

Submitted(+1)

The player's collider gets you stuck in some places sometimes, but I still had fun :)

Thank you for the feedback.

The core mechanic is great but I think it could have been exploited more, it have some puzzle potential for example.

The platforming was a bit too easy too, but that's better than the opposite, as a lot of games from jams are way too difficult.

The piggybank theme is well thought and goes well with the mecanic, and the main caracter is cute.

I would greatly appreciate if you rate me back!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I will play your game.

Submitted(+1)

I really liked this. There were some quirks with the movement, I didn't like that you could hang on a platform with your face, but apart from that, jumping and movement felt good. I liked the use of the theme, though I have played a couple of other games with very similar mechanics.

Also, it dawned on me about half way through, that you play as a piggy bank that jumps higher because there's less money in it... nice touch!

Developer

Thanks.

The game was very fun to play and it felt very polished!! Do keep in mind tho that backtracking can feel boring to most players, so try to avoid it when it's possible :3

Ps. I see that JudgeClark didn't really liked the "feature", but i personally really like the fact that when the little piggy bank can almost reach the platform, his nose gets stuck on the wall: it gives the game an unique charm to it!! (^D^)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback. I will remember that next time I make a platformer.

Submitted(+1)

I think the game is ok, But if you had more choice and decisions troughout the game it would have been better.

Developer

Thank you. I learned a lot from the Game Jam.
