After the first launch when I refreshed the page game stopped working(opera GX here). The first boss is a little confusing and couldn't damage him at all. Like the artstyle tho.

The exchange mechanic is really original and I enjoyed it. The music is well picked, and the visuals are really nice, I love the old-school game vibe it has. I do feel it lacks a bit more feedback when attacking, specially the first boss. Your attack goes through him, so you don't actually know if you're hitting him and making progress until the letters start appearing. Still, a pretty nice game overall, good job!
I really liked this game. The art is really nostalgic. I like the idea. Good Job.
Very nice game, with a very good and layered take on the exchange mechanic.
It was a bit hard to know what to do at first, but when it clicked I had fun!
It's a bit janky and wonky in some places, but the story more than makes of for those.
I liked the teleporting mechanic but I really didn't know what I was doing here, is there a way to defeat the security robot?
Overall game looks good in the design I think. It's very difficult to figure out some of the mechanics, what they do and how they work. For example, the face with the first boss could be made easier to understand by simply making feedback in the form of a small animation in the color of the sprite during the hit
I liked the mechanics of the samurai. Samurai fight is not designed IMHO but concept is new and therefore interesting.
If I were you, I would do less mechanics, but more polished ones. ( Our game may also suffer from too many mechanics without being polished. 😅 ).
Overall game is cool!
You're off to a great start! However, at the moment, the game's objective isn't entirely clear, and I find myself a bit uncertain about how to progress. I suggest establishing a clear goal first and centering your focus on it for a more engaging experience. Also consider experimenting with Physics Material 2D; it could potentially resolve the issue of sticking when moving against walls. Overall, great job! Keep it up!
Awesome concept of beating your last character, I miss some better controls and a better camera distance.
I tried this a couple times but the goal of the game was unclear and I didn't know how to progress. I really liked the exchange teleport idea though, nice and responsive and an interesting way to dodge attacks. Nice work, thanks for making this.
This is a nice start, with cute sprites and animations. I would recommend really focusing in on one boss fight and polishing it up into a clear experience. It also seems that some of the UI is not scaling well with the page size, and causing some visual issues. But great work for a first jam, keep at it!
I loved the teleporting and simple structure and yet I still got confused when robot came out. I am not sure what those things that popped up where, and I felt like all i could is spit things at him which did nothing. So I think the goal was to teleport around? I think i just understood it right now....lol going to try once more...
