Awesome GBC vibes. From the controls till the cover ^^.

This was really cool lol. Presentation as a whole is on-point and definitely felt like  a GBC game

The boss design as a whole was great, however death's scythe and projectile attacks were honestly impossible to dodge sometimes. I also felt that some attacks like the ice queen's blast attack when you take out her minions was  a little cheap.

The hitboxes for some of these attacks were definitely a little too big, but I think the player really needed to either be somewhat faster, or have some sort of dodge or mobility move

The exchange mechanic is great though, having to use ranged attacks to get back health and use melee attacks to get back mana was really cool.

The normal jam difficulty was definitely a bit of a cake-walk, regardless of the weapon you choose ( Although I think the green weapons cheese the game somewhat ), but the harder difficulty was definitely more difficult lol

Loved how you re-mixed all the bosses, although it made some of the issues I pointed out above more noticable. I also feel like the rate at which health spawns in the harder difficulty was a little too low. And the amount of health you get back from collecting hearts was a little too low as well  (  in the harder difficulty specifically )

But either way, it is a harder difficulty lol. I expected to get my butt kicked and I definitely did. I just feel like the game could have used some balancing and tweaking here and there.

None the less, you've made something absolutely amazing here. Great entry overall

Everything feels like a good classic game. It fits well and I had no real issues.

This feel like a proper homage for GBC RPG's.

Super well made, visuals, music, sounds are all on point.

The final boss has some weird hurtboxes, but that absolutely the only point I can nitpick.

I'm bookmarking this to reference how a proper GBC game should look and feel.

Loved it - reminded me a lot of LoZ: Oracle of Seasons/Ages. Really enjoyed the weapon swap idea, and each weapon felt really powerful and fun - although, the ice power made me sad because it didn't seem to have any offensive utility. But, I beat it on hard mode, and I really enjoyed each boss fight - all in all it was a fulfilling experience, and my victories felt like they rewarded my skill and attention to detail. Great stuff!

Awesome game ! Had a blast !

Super fun! Obvious that a lot of passion went into this. Only things that frustrated me were some of the hitboxes, mostly on the green boss, and the final boss's projectiles almost killed me after I had already beaten it.

This was right up my alley, I loved the Gameboy aesthetic and controls. The bosses had simple, but really fun patterns and the addition of a hard mode that adds more difficult pattern instead of just changing a couple of numbers was really nice. Some hitbox were a bit weird but this is not enough to tamper my enjoyment. I also really like that you can have an attack set based on each boss. But I must admit, the feather is probably the most powerful weapon.

Feather goes brrrrrrrrrrrr

I showed this to a friend, and they said “The game went insaneo”. They were right. The art direction is absolutely fantastic, the sprites, the music, the interface, everything. I really like it, especially considering it was all made in a month.

Amazing execution on this one -- it really felt like I was holding a gameboy advance in my hand while I was playing.

The mechanic is really interesting -- more than just exchanging your weapons with the boss, you get resources from attacking boss -- mana for attacking them with your physical attack, and health for attacking them with your mana attack, which makes you constantly swap between the two.

Amazing job!!

Loved the game, everything is so clean and readable and it's so easy to pick up

Wow, really excellent work! The boss designs are all very unique and flavorful, and I love the exchange mechanic to get their attacks (our game has a similar idea). And the fact that you have a final boss to tie it all together is just really nice polish!
