The game turned out to be very engaging—I really like the visual style and overall concept. However, it does feel somewhat unfinished. I won’t repeat the points made by other players, as I mostly agree with them. That said, many aspects are well-executed, such as the intro cutscenes, animations, and the extravagant yet appealing enemy and character designs. Great job!

The story, music and art are uniquely great but I couldn’t get past the first boss. I won’t reiterate some of the problems mentioned but I do have some suggestions that may enhance gameplay and feel. I think the dash and hurt animation are too similar, maybe use a different color for either. I think the boss should have a few more frames of anticipation on the dash attack, adding sound will help as well. Lastly, if you slightly slow down the turret when on the boss collider and speed it up on consecutive misses the player may be able to land more shots.

The color scheme is really cool and a creative take on theme. Good job and keep it up! If I have some time I’ll go back and try to get to the other bosses.

Thanks for the criticism! No one has pointed out the hurt/dash thing yet, and you have a point, as for the collider thing, i think its in the game already but the diffrence when the laser is hovering over the boss is like 20% which is hard to notice. But yeah, i could have tweaked the turret and made it maybe have combos where when you shoot the boss it gets faster and reloads faster, but eh, missed oprotunity.

The intro is sick, aswell as the music and the art. The bosses are reallly well designed here. Good game congrats!!

That Star Wars like intro was something!
I didn't managed to get past the first boss, I feel like there's too much conditions that need to be met to hit the boss a single time. Also for some reason dash sometimes didn't work when I had the turret and that's quite annoying when you're in trouble...

Your artstyle is very solid, I think this artstyle is close to other games like Dungeons of Hinterberg? The only thing I didn't like was the shadow effect on the signs during the tutorial that made them harder to read correctly, especially from the distance.

The dash does not work if you don't have enough mana, which i hope is displayed correctly on other aspect rations, and if you want to retry the game, you can chesee the first boss by going around him in a circle :p (His hitboxes are not fair)

Boss designs were very nice, I liked the intros and the feedback on landing a hit too. First boss was way harder than the others, hitboxes seemed a bit off there, but had no such trouble with the others.

I really liked the art, music, and Boss Fight designs here.
Also great work with the cutscenes!
The control scheme took a bit of time to get used to, and the game felt a little janky with some optimization issues, so the gameplay suffered a bit.  But everything else is top-notch!

Yup, most other gamejam projects weren't this ambitious and i never optimized a game besides the classic object pooling. Deffinetly have to work on that

A really good concept,  the art and music are top notch. The visual flairs of the boss intros are a nice touch too.

In term of gameplay, performance is a bit ropey and had a few bugs where I'd get stuck unable to move after picking up the turret.

Aiming with the turret takes bit of getting used to but the over-the-top hit flash makes it all worth while just for that.

In terms of boss design, I think you could have done without contact damage because its hard to grab your turret when its near the boss, that and the oyster spawns were too fast and didn't seem like they could be shot?

There also seems to be a lack of feedback when the player gets hit as I could barely tell when I was getting hurt.

But overall it seems like a game with potential, just a little more time in the oven to iron out the bugs and smooth that performance out. So good job on the submission

The first boss is the only one that does damage on collision (since he is a mellee boss), and yes the hitboxes on him are bloddy atrocious! others just have knockback with no damage to prevent cheese.

Very cool game! I love seeing games with this style of shader it makes them very unique. was a bit difficult with the high mouse sensitivity but after a few minutes it wasn't so bad.

The art style is so cool and the boss designs are awesome. The cutscenes were top notch 

I would say the controls are a bit janky and hard to get used to I guess because in my laptop it lags a lot and the UI needs some work but awesome, keep it up

--READ BEFORE PLAYING--

-I did not have time to make a mouse sensitivity menu  (you'll have to configure it in your settings) nor the exit menu, you either alt f4 (intentional bug) or complete the game. Sorry :p

-You run faster without the turret (not mentioned in the tutorial).

-Play button is a bit weird, click on it until it works.
