God graphics and very good interface.

I got lucky with buffs each time, but can see it being frustrating if the boss got them, as I have no control on if I want the gamble or not. The game looks great and consistent. I appreciated the bosses had clear telegraphing for their attacks,

Cool use of theme. The controls felt nice, although the attack distance felt very short. The opening cinematic was a very cool and polished addition. The music fit really nicely with the setting.

Cool game.

The guitar part of the third boss' melody is so beautiful. It lined up with the hypnosis being broken and his real form crumbling upon defeat and was honestly harrowing. Fantastic work on the sound department.

Only would like to know more about our guy; who is he, why does he wear the mask?

I liked it. The boss design is scary and cool.

In terms of gameplay, the idea of distributing buffs and debuffs is cool, but it turned out that the boss received a buff all three times, twice for regeneration and once for increasing health. I think it would have been better to give a buff to the player and the boss at the same time.

The strong attack seemed much more powerful to me and I only used it, the bosses have large windows for attack and you can hit 1-2 times with a strong attack. I only used the crouching feature on the first boss.

The third boss is cool, but I think it is weaker than the first and second. I really liked the final boss, cool attacks, but the second phase seemed to me to be broken, he just lay there and did not attack.

Anyway, great job!

I loved the tone you immediately set with the brief dialogue and music. Your art did an excellent job of maintaining the vibe.

The controls felt off for me. I felt like a lot of movement was expected from me, and crouch was placed in a position that was awkward to reach from the general WASD movement position. I also didn't really feel the utility of the dash without i-frames, but it looks and felt good otherwise.

I also really enjoyed the touch of interacting with a giant button as the character rather than a UI element as the player.

Developer

Hi, thanks for the review. The game has a keyboard setting - it's very convenient to use your own setting and play with pleasure!

I really like the art and concept, I would liked to the wheel to be implemented on a more engaging way, having you and/or the boss ways to influence on the outcome or with re-rolls

Great art and music. And in general it was quite fun.

My main feedback would be, that wheelspin felt a bit weird kind of mechanic in such type of game, because player can't influence it, and game is not a roguelike, when you can just reset (well, yeah, technically you can) the bad run cuz of bad luck, so you have to fight the boss with buffs/debuffs you've got, which in theory can be frustrating, if for example you've got only boss buffs and you have no way to revert it. Perhaps you could have 1 spin re-roll, after you've lost to the boss, then I think it can be much better, because then you aren't stuck with the buffs you've got, but can try your luck again.

But well, game isn't that long, so in the end it didn't matter that much.

Very cool and aesthetic game! The controls felt pretty smooth. I wish there were some more hit feedbacks and reactiveness in the combat. What I mean is like, most of the time, I'm standing in a single place, whacking the boss several times, then maybe jumping or crouching to avoid an attack, then standing still and repeat. The combat didn't feel very dynamic, and there was little hit feedback to make the attacks feel weighty. I got luck with all buffs on the wheel, and liked the room spinning in the second fight, but not entirely sure what hypnosis does (saw the symbol few times but didn't really get it).

Liked the art and theme! Music and sfx was good too! The spinning room was interesting. I would’ve liked it to be slightly more fast paced? Maybe quicker attacks. But that’s just my preference. Last boss was a bit hard for me but was able to defeat him after a few tries.

Overall a good game!

The aesthetic here was absolutely fantastic, a cursed carnival such a cool setting, and it fits the spin theme like a glove. The spin before each boss was a fun idea, and each boss had at least one moment or attack that used the theme in a really fun way, I was particularly partial to the lion-ish boss' arena spin I found that really cool. Alongside the aesthetic, the boss design was also a real strong suit here, each boss had very clear telegraphs for their attacks, and very unique gimmicks that made each one stand out among the pack

The art stands out a lot, the sounds are great too.

Right on cool game, I found strategies to beat the bosses, didn't use the power move much I like to be nimble! Grats on submission and good luck!

Loved the art style! The circus master sprite looks incredible and I love how he bows, the animations and personality looks spot on! really well done! Also I loved the plot twist at the end, I did something similar with mine. Gameplay wise was pretty good too, the movement of the character was pretty snappy and good, tho some bosses patterns were hard to get used to from the start until you die a couple of times, but its a pretty good game, Congrats! :D

Really amazing art! the boss design also feels well thought out and the combat feels good especially the chain attacks. Would have liked dodging the boss attacks to be a bit easier but the difficulty overall felt pretty good. Congratulations!
