How does your game fit the theme?
Main character should gather some treasures on the beach before the storm comes

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Almost everything from scratch. Main character and her animations from mixamo, water shader from the internet and sounds from stocks, but not the music.

Very good artistic direction and great artstyle for the 2D screens. The gameplay is very intuitive and easy to grasp. Although it can be pretty easy to go out of bounds and mess with the game.

The artistic direction is very cute! A health system could be fun in future updates and maybe the character could slow down each time they lose a health point to add difficulty! the death screen takes a while to load and it makes the tension  go down which is a shame considering how much you want to dive right back in!!! Incredible work, well done!

Reminds me for some reason of Dora and Lilo and Stitch. Cool Art Style for sure!
The gameplay is simple and satisfying. I managed to get 1600 points :).

Well done! Cute game!

:D

Very well done on the art direction. The game is quite short and I wish there was something to do with the shells you've collected, but I had a great time playing and collecting while seeing how far I could go as the water receded more and more.

Well done creating this lovely game. Now I just need some place to trade in all my shells and beach junk. :D

The game is a little monotonous, but the art is really pretty!

The character is also cute

Cute game concept and beautifull music. That handpainted illustrations style looks awesome.  Great job dudes!

this game is really aesthetically beautiful. I really like the music especially. I'm a big fan of original music for game jams lol. Great job with this one!

Nice 2D illustrations! The game play is interesting as the waves itself is the enemy, it feels a bit too simple at the moment but I feel it definitely have potential. Keep it up!

I liked the menu drawings a lot!

The illustrations are absolutely beautiful, and the modeled world its self is really pretty, great job on the art! The gameplay loop was actually pretty fun, even if it was very simple. I enjoyed the feel of racing against the tide but it did get old pretty quickly. The song is nice too. One improvement I would suggest would be some sort of upgrade system so that collecting all the beach treasures has more of a purpose to it. Overall I think you have a really solid foundation for a game with some gorgeous artwork, cool entry!

Great art, simple but fun and engaging

The art is very pretty, I'd have rather keep with the 2d illustrations as style of the game since they're so good!

and well, she does sell seashells on the seashore.
