How does your game fit the theme?
It's a platformer where you have to find your cat before a big storm hits. It's a little on the nose, but the core gameplay loop is about resting at benches, waiting for things in the environment to change so you can progress. The initial design pitch was that when the storm comes, it's game over. This is still sort of true, but more because most of the jumps become impossible at that point.

That said, *most* of the game is about everything *before* the storm hits. The abandoned park, the closed trails, and the wind picking up and getting more intense.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes

What a lovely game. Loved the art and music and the general atmosphere. I did get stuck in one point where I couldn't make it back to a bench and had to wait for the wind, but the wind/reset mechanic was very creative and purrfect for the jam's theme. Great work!

Developer

Thanks! Damn yeah I know about that part, I've already fixed it but too late to resubmit lol.

nice art and theme well intergraded into the gameplay. Pretty good!

The concept is quite original to me, and the art is well polished.
but I think there are some areas where one can get stuck, and there is no choice but to wait for the weather to change, or restart.

Still, it's still a great job :D

Developer

Thanks! Yeah I thought I had sorted out those points, but looks like we missed a few. Sorry if you got stuck lol

The way you use the wind in the game is so creative. And the graphics are so cute! I love it

The character seems to bug out sometimes but other than that the game is really fun and well polished

Developer

Lol yeah that bug was my white whale during this Jam. I kept going back with the intention of fixing it but got sidetracked by something else. Thanks for playing

Such a cool idea for a game using wind to hemp you get up or get further! I thought it be a generic platformer but no haha. I really enjoyed the game sweet art I love to learn more about the pixel art. Made it all the way to the end!

Developer

Thanks for playing, anything you'd wanna know specifically? I used Aseprite and (for the most part) a colour palette called Juice56.

I really love the idea of the game. The waiting system reminds me old flash game, "400 years".
