How does your game fit the theme?
It's a platformer where you have to find your cat before a big storm hits. It's a little on the nose, but the core gameplay loop is about resting at benches, waiting for things in the environment to change so you can progress. The initial design pitch was that when the storm comes, it's game over. This is still sort of true, but more because most of the jumps become impossible at that point.

That said, *most* of the game is about everything *before* the storm hits. The abandoned park, the closed trails, and the wind picking up and getting more intense.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes

probably the most adorable visual style i have seen in this jam so far, and a very unique idea too! incredible job!

Nice game, Liked the direction it was going, Really like the combination between the platforming gameplay and the time of day blowing wind

Found some issues regarding the restart though. It put me back to the beginning of the game instead of the last tent. You might want to check on that

Overall had a great time

WOW very nice! Really liked the creative, unique mechanics with time and the weather, I thought it was very relevant to the theme. The text throughout even  has a bit of interesting simple narrative and is also very effective at  indicating to the player what to do. All done without resorting to overtly long or boring text on some random note you find or arbitrary piece of paper you pick up, but instead using engaging short dialogue.

I thought the short length of the game is also a PLUS actually - really nice job. I find this to be one of the best submissions for this jam, exceptional job on coming up with something like this. It's also visually very pleasing, the parallax and other things really add to the visual appeal. The audio is also really great, and the controls work very well and feel very smooth.

Nice job on this!

Thank you for the kind words! Yeah it was definitely my intention to communicate to the player what they needed to do without it being too long or overly complex, and having a character exposit that made more sense to me.

Nice game! The art and audio really stand out, creating an immersive experience. Just a couple of things to improve: character movement felt a bit finicky at times, and I encountered some bugs with the restart feature. Overall, great job!

Thank you :)

Very good idea, which can be developed cool. Implementation is good, especially the mechanics of the umbrella itself. Nice work!

Cool game, Congrats!

Incredible job, the art and audio are amazing and the premise is great. A couple bugs I encountered (At least on the web version) was restarting wouldn’t reset the time (I also got stuck in one part), and also when the particles first load they cause the game to stutter (The way I fixed the particle issue in my game was just emitting them during a loading screen so the lag wouldn’t happen during the game) The one thing I think could be improved upon was the character movement felt a little bit finicky, when it looked like I should have jumped because it was only a few pixels above the ground, it instead activated the umbrella, but otherwise the game was very enjoyable!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm dreadfully aware of all those all of those issues, wish I had time to fix them lol. At least I know better now.

It's sooooo adorable, the music is so good, and the mechanic and your interpretation of the theme is SO good!

Great job!

Really liked the movement, my only issue is I got confused when the character would be walking on its own and I'm not meant to be moving the player in that instance, loved the rest of it!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah I should have made that more clear!

The art and umbrella mechanics are very good, great job guys!

Love the weather and time mechanic, very unique and interesting! The art was also really pretty. Although the 'gusty' weather was quite OP and you could skip a lot of sections with it. But I had a lot of fun playing through the game, great job!

Wow, beautiful art and music. The theme is purrrfectly integrated with the weather feature, really great! :O

Fun concept, I liked using the umbrella to fly with the wind. Also lovely art :)

Meownificent platformer! The game is very polished, and the sounds are really well made. The cat-theme is a real treat. The only downside was that the character blurring was a little off-putting. Overall, it’s a very well made game great job!
