In what way does your game fit the theme?
Fight in the Chaos Arena, where even the ground is unpredictable. (Pro tip: try playing with the "Retro" setting turned on in the options menu if you feel nostalgic)
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
The project uses some visual and audio assets from the Unity Asset Store.

WOW!!Very fun game as an artist i love the retro option and gameplay was chaotic ;), and its very unique. Goood job :D.
I'm glad you liked it, thanks for playing:)
Fun game! Love how the arena is part of the menu. Jumping onto a rock with enemies feels like boarding a ship, real cool. Absorbing enemy power and money is very satisfying too
Everything was done well- the progression, the graphics, the music. This is a complete package, good job guys! I like that you are forced to jump from platform to platform, it's very engaging.
Agreed to previous speakers, the game looks so polished. Tons of work has been made I guess. While I only thinking about making some 3d games, you guys did it, and only in seven days, wow!
The game is pretty challenging at first. Shop helps. I like different missiles and effects. I hate those swimming rocks, they are sinking all the time lol. Chaotic indeed!
Nice game! Very well made in many aspects. Retro mode was a fun addition. =D
I was wondering how it would look and feel if the game was in 1st person. Since it is already 3D it would be quite easy to test out? It would be cool if there was an option to switch it or maybe buy it from the shop.
I haven't thought of a first-person mode, maybe I will test it and add an option to turn it on in the post-jam update :D
I like the concept of platformer arena shooter and I've always liked the concept "The Floor is Lava".
A few things I would address (just as recommendations, of course):
The Lava is not very dangerous because of the ability to jump. It sounds silly, but I think you should be able to gain more momentum when grounded - it creates that notion that it's hot and you want out.
The game's pacing is a little slow, which may be due to the size of the arena or lack of ability to get around unharmed. The game is a pseudo-platformer, but there aren't always good paths to take (or any at times).
Tidy up that little bit and I think people will have even more fun! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback, I plan on releasing an update addressing these problems after the jam! The beginning is a little too slow indeed, there are too few enemies and platforms.
What do you exactly mean by "gain more momentum when grounded" ?
When you're in the Lava, you move really sluggish and have to jump to get out/gain momentum. I just feel like the jumping action should have a little less allowed momentum, requiring you to spend a short amount of time in the lava to project yourself further.
You already move at half speed in lava but you are right, the jump is so overpowered it doesn't present any danger at all. I was thinking of some system where the jump is like an ability that has a cooldown and air jumps are additional charges you can collect.
I guess what I'm trying to say is take off the half speed in lava and tone down the jumps. I think that would be an appropriate route, making the upgrades increase the rate the ability/meter fills. Once you get it figured out, I'm sure you'll find plenty more to do :P
Aaaaahhh the nostalgia haha!
I think the difficulty as in the case of the lava is pretty mild but i think its fine as that way too!
Loved the awesome game!
Thank you for the feedback! I plan on releasing an update addressing the concerns of the reviewers here :)
Great game!!
Love the lava shader
I really like the game!!!I think the lava should do more damage
I'm glad you liked it!
The lava damage increases the longer you survive, but maybe too little. Thanks for the feedback!
Wow this game was great! I love the combination of platformer and shooter. The upgrades are reasonably priced, which speeds up the game progress. The music is very cool and combined with the sounds of the colorful points gave me some Kao the Kangoroo vibe (it's an old 3D platformer). The game is very polished (different types of enemies, shop, Lava shader). One thing you could do is zooming out the camera so the area is more visible. Overall an amazing and very addictive game, keep it up!
Thank you for the review!
Zooming is a good idea, I might implement a simple zoom function with the mouse scroll wheel after the jam.
Very interesting gameplay, I loved how you were forced to keep moving while trying to dodge bullets, shoot the bullets or just tank them entirely. And the shop is a great feature to provide replayability.
Very unique game concept! I liked you can't camp on a single platform as it'd sink. That adds more spice to the chaos. Goodjob!
Awesome Game. I find it very difficult to concentrate between jumping out of sinking platform, dodging incoming bullets and shooting enemy hahaha this is the most Chaotic Action Gameplay I've yet play in this jam. Great Concept, Great Work! 🧐👍
I'm glad I managed to achieve the chaos I was going for :D
Thank you for playing!
This was a pretty unique game concept. I'm not sure it's fully developed yet, but as a jam submission it was neat to play.
This game is fun to play although it gets a bit slow after a while. It's definitely a bit unique which is great, so nice job!
That was loads of fun! Movement, shooting, and general gameplay was pretty addicting.
The only thing I wasn't sold on was the theme. While the arena was pretty dangerous and hard to traverse, I wasn't sure if it was necessarily "chaotic." But regardless, a fun game came out of the concept!
Thanks for playing it!
Did you manage to survive around 300 seconds? It gets quite chaotic in the end!
Very addictive! The physics of jumping and landing on the rocks was very satisfying :)
