I played up to level 15 as I felt like I saw as much as the game had to offer.

This game is simple and fun but I can notice that past wave 8 you start experiencing lag when waves first spawn due to the amount of bullets. I didn't understand the book system as it seemed like the books only upgraded me during the wave and of that the red ones were the only ones that did anything. Maybe the blue books made me do more damage but I have no way to tell.

Having the player be forced to move around to get their "ammo" was a neat idea and took me a bit to realize how it actually functioned.

Overall a fun submission!

Developer

Thank you for playing and the feedback!

I just realized I never added what the books do to the description, my bad.

Red books increase your hp and future enemies hp, blue increase your walking speed and enemy fire speed and purple increase your damage and your "energy draw" from the floor.

I found it very difficult to visually keep track of my player as soon as the more complex enemies came on screen a few waves in.

The game is pretty solid, although I couldn't set it in Fullscreen mode so it did hurt my eyes a bit. It seems pretty easy, it feels you can afk tank bullets for a long time with that many HP. Music and sound effects are good, good job!

Fun! It does hurt my eyes a bit when getting to the higher waves though

I cast fireball.... machine gun!

Lots of fun :)

The only thing I had issue with was that I couldn't get full screen to work but it wasn't a big issue.

Really good game! Loved that feeling of how powerful you are and the feedback from shooting. The book effects could be a bit more visible, because I felt that they increased my stats, but it didn't feel strong enough. In overall really good and polished!

This is definitely a bullet hell haha, I think there are like hundreds of projectiles even in the earlier waves! Good job!

The enemies was great and I enjoyed learning their paterns. But I feelt that the map was to big and made it hard to get to the books that the enemies droped. But for a bullet hell this was one of the most chaotic games I have played so far.

Damn this game is smooth. Though why is a wizzard shooting a machine gun?

Submitted(+1)

Lots of neat bullet patterns! I like casting fireballs at mini-gun like rates.

Loved this game. Graphics and audio was amazing. One way that the gameplay kind of fell short was that the bullet patterns were too predictable, where as long as you took out the green aiming guys, you could find a safe area to camp at. I like the idea of having to move to be able to shoot, but I don't that that completely solves the camping issue. Loved the game! Thanks for submitting!!!

I simple but effectly bullet hell, which really focuses on the “bullet” and “hell” part. Absolutely insane levels of bullets flying around the screen. My only critique is that I got up to Wave 15, Level 16 with 320 health before I stopped playing as there appeared to be no end to the game, and I wasn’t dying any time soon. I didn’t see any books to pick up, but that would have been great for the consequences. Good job!

Great submission for a game jam! If time had allowed I think a little polish such as particle effects, maybe a shader in the background to give it some life, would have improved the feel a lot. I had fun blasting people with my fireball chaingun though either way. Nice work :)

Developer

Definitely need to improve some UI stuff. And learn how shaders work. Thank you! :D

Very cool gameplay! Takes a lot of accuracy to shoot long range, but it's really satisfying. I love how fast the attack speed is right from the start!

Difficulty wise, I felt like I was breezing through. If I just rushed the spawns, I could kill them and heal up from the tomes faster than I'd take damage, so I was at like 400+ hp and rising, even though I wasn't being very careful. Felt great at first, but then felt like I might never die! Just keep tanking :D

Nice job, cool patterns and very much BULLET HELL indeed. My whole screen was covered! Nice soundtrack too.

A real bullet hell! If magicians knew about the existence of mini-guns, they would probably shoot like that :D Very nice game, there's a lot going on on the screen (imho, the books could be a little bigger because sometimes I had trouble seeing them) Good job!

Thank you for the feedback :D

The soundtrack is an absolute blast.
