Damn I really like the idea of the loadout switch! At first I thought you always get the loadout from the last defeated enemy, but apparently it was just a coincidence that this happened to me multiple times? I'm pretty sure you made this game with the QWERTY keyboard layout in mind, but I do not know if you are aware but in many countries QWERTZ is being used meaning that the two buttons X and Z are very far apart from each other and it is not that pleasant to play this game with two fingers so far apart from each other ^^. I liked the art style. It's a bit sad you didn't have time for audio, but still very solid game and I had fun playing it :)
Nice game, it's functioning, not buggy, and simple to understand. It could use more content, focus on audio, and more juice.
I always really enjoy a retro-style game, and although this was a bit of a short but sweet game, I did enjoy it! Audio definitely would have helped give just a little bit of juice, but the graphics were charming. I think my only gripe with the gameplay would be the 8-shot pattern the player can use. Having the exact same bullets and pattern as the enemies is a little disorienting and confusing, and that's generally where I started to take damage and/or die. Past that though, it was a nice little game, good work!
Big pog for tic-80, I like that I see it more and more in jams :P
Shame you didn't have time for audio, but I still really enjoyed this game!
yay for TIC-80
the time before the first enemies show up is a bit long, and it sad that it doesn't have sound.
Art is nice though and the idea is nice and basic.
This was fun !
I really like the tiny sprites they really have a style that feel authentic to what could have come out on an amtrad or comodore back in the day and that quality doubles for the gameplay with the fact you made it in an engine ( don't know how these retro computer style things could be classed like :p ) with i suppose quite some drastic limitations.
I also liked the use of the theme where your weapon auto switches every 10 seconds
shame you didn't have time for sound :( but hey time in jams flies and i can understand that
had a good time and this made me nostalgic for the old amstrad days :)
Controls well and looks good, but the way that some of your weapons share the same bullet sprites as your enemies can get pretty confusing.
The idea of switching weapons every 10 seconds is cool... I only saw 3 though, hope you get a chance to improve upon the idea and do a lot more super-crate-box style :)
It's a very fun game, a bit difficult but that's probably just me that sucks at these kinds of games. Good job!
Cool game does suffer a little from the lack of audio but getting good audio can take a lot of time especially in a team of one overall good job fun game.
Really nice little game, looks very retro-ish. Audio would be pretty nice, maybe next time I could make you some neat sound effects, if you want of course.
Cool game, shame that you didn't have the time to add some audio. I hope you can add some in the future
i love the switching gun types :)
Cool retro throwback!
I enjoyed trying out the different guns whenever it switched.
I love the vibe of the game; it's really cute. The gun swapping mechanic is a neat concept, but I never really felt like I needed to pay attention to what gun I had.
Very much from that early 8-bit era! Really needs some sound effects to spruce up the experience, but otherwise it's a great endurance challenge.
Thanks! And yeah, I didn't have time to add any sounds since I had a lot of work to do in the past couple of days
kinda hard
7/10
pretty fun
