Nice work! Too bad it didn't have some cool music.
Automatic lock-on was great idea! I wish there was some more weapons or power ups but was fine.

The best part is when I said "It's heshinnin' time" and I started heshinning all over the place!
Very fun game, congrats :D
Fun game that was easy to pick up! It kind of reminded me of the game War Of The Monsters on PS2 which I used to love. The sound effects were great and the UI was easy to navigate. Great game!
Having the alert pop on was a great moment.
Simple but really fun! I had a good time.
Also, greatly appreciate the audio settings
Really well made game, I loved the visuals and the gameplay felt really smooth and well implemented. One of my favorites of the jam so far
Interesting game! The auto lock-on makes everything smooth. I love the classic mini camera view for the boss when it enters the field. Good job and I enjoyed playing it.
Fun game. I did better with the tank than with the Henshin Hero. Might have been nice to see some friendly life. Maybe one or two other smaller tanks shooting at the bees? Or some police cars or something. Would also be nice to see more VFX to represent damage to buildings and streets.
Didn't get past the first boss but quite fun! The tank is a little fast but it means that I can dodge well. I like that you can't just go around shooting—you have to hold still to hit the bees.
You were there when I played your game live on stream this morning, so this is just a recap for you.
Like the visual, and the music is nice. Movement of the tank is great and scaling up in size feels very empowering. I also really like the screen in the corner that shows a live feed of the news, it's a nice little touch.
Like I said before, it's the combat while in big form that felt a little repetitive. Having something like combos, or different set of attacks would be interesting. Maybe even a grab? Like turning those big monster around and throwing them in a river would feel amazing :P
But yeah, over all, very fun and well presented game!
Interesting idea, the boss is cool and gives the big bad robot feeling, very funny to punch it and see it fly away. Live camera is an hilarious and genius addition.
Loved to jump over buildings to pick up bonus, health boxes and shooting down enemies.
I'd liked to have a free aim for mouse and keyboard play instead of only locked target, but as an android game it work well.
The game sounds has some mixing problems, some are high while others are way too low, especially player sound like shooting.
Normal enemies also are a bit too static, giving some paths to follow would make the city way more lively.
Building are a bit anonymous without textures, but finding good ones in a short period of time is hard, so no problems.
Overall it's good and it follows well the theme in a very unusual way.
Thank you for your thorough review.
The stock 3rd person controller from unity actually gave me free-aim, and i played with it for a week. Often times i got frustrated because i "just wanted to shoot at this enemy". After adding the lock-on system, i (and my playtesters) can focus on dodging bullets while shooting at them. It enables them to play more intentionally. The moving tank also magically missed the enemies sometimes so i happily left the bug in and require the player to stop for a tiny moment in order to surely hit the enemies.
For the buildings, i did come across some building assets, but i could not find ones that are blocky enough to enable the tank's little platforming actions.
Normal enemies are a bit tricky. I am afraid if they can move they will dodge too many bullets, so i hesitated to give them movements. But i do agree that looks too static for anyone's taste. (Or i just make the bullets have bigger invisible hitboxes...)
Thank you again for trying it out. Have a nice day and good luck on your journey.
P.S. good one spotting out the volume inconsistencies. It bugged me a bit even playing it myself. Will need to change it post-jam. (Future me: take notes!)

Fun to play! Reminds me of Armored Core. Movement and shooting felt good and the boss was really cool. Good job!
