Cool idea, palette and music. Graphics also start to feel more cute when the camera is rotating.
Took me forever to figure out how to use ladders. Watched the pictures on the itch page, pressed 1, to no avail. Then realized the guy can also climb without ladders. Then in level 2 realized I need to buy ladders (that's totally what I do while hiking and stuff). xD
Took another forever to figure out that I can't pick up a ladder from above. %)
Wish I could return to previous levels to collect scales. Also the game might need some revision of the numbers part (or visualizing the numbers except the total hero stamina in non-text form somehow), so it becomes more intuitive.
Climbed every mountain, 4/11 scales.
I wish you good luck if you are going to develop the game further after the jam!
The idea is very original, but the way you acquire objects is not intuitive.
Neat! This is a very solid puzzle game and you expand the mechanics well. If there was some feedback for me to give, it would probably be that there isn't any room for innovation on the player's side. It seems like the stamina limit ensures there is only one solution to the puzzle rather than letting players come up with creative alternatives. But open-ended puzzles might also not be the way to go, hard to say. Either way, overall had a lot of fun with this. Great entry!
Very well designed mechanics and they actually work with each other very very well. This is a very hard thing to do so well done!
I like this game. You do a lot with the low poly look - the music/sound works with that. I, too, didn't understand that I needed to stock the ladders/ropes at first. And, I'm not entirely sure why that's part of the puzzle. The stamina piece reminds me of a very old blast from the past Cavequest, though it was used differently. I like the story that explains why the need to conserve energy.
The idea is challenging and the visual is very cool, altough, It was not very clear for me at the beginning that I had to pick the scale by pressing "+". Overall, this was nice :) good job!
Great looking game. Liked the stepped movement. As others mentioned I wish you didn't have to pick items at the start of the round. I think this has a lot of potential.
Really nive puzzle! I would especially like to mention the music - good one
Lots of lagging when playing on Firefox with Mac. I don't understand why since this is a simple game.
love the game. very clean graphics and enjoyable sound.
Simple, intuitive game with great concept and great theme interpretation. Only thing I would change is to scrap the equipment selection and just provide the necessary tools automatically.
I really enjoyed this game! Love the art style and simplicity. The concept was cool too! I think only thing I didn't like was having to select the ladders each time I start each level.
Nice and clean looking game.
I loved this. I got pretty sucked in and ended up playing for like 30 minutes. I really enjoyed that the puzzles all felt pretty fair but challenging. I did end up getting stuck on one level, so if you have a playthrough video or anything i'd be curious to see the solution lol
Glad you liked it! I recorded a playthrough and added it to the game page.
thanks!
Plays and runs great, even in the browser. Great concept and level design. Well done!
Interesting concept that took a second to understand but neat take.
Wonderful puzzle game, super impressed that you made a very clean 3d game in a month, great stuff.
