I absolutely love the style of this game. :)
Really simple but awesome game.Good job.
Very nice aesthetic!
Really simple but really cool game! I like the artstyle of the game!
Best aesthetic, hands down. It looks great, and the little animations you've got on some of the monster boys are very effective at keeping it from feeling like battle of the static pngs.
Gameplay is nothing crazy, but it doesn't really have to be. I think both it fits surprisingly nicely with the theme, and does so in a way that I don't know that I've seen from other entries yet.
I'd love a full game with this vibe, but I feel like gameplay would probably need fleshed out a bit to hold my attention for too long. I don't know; if you have plans of expanding I'd be really curious to see what you did with it. Great work!
Thanks for playing, i'm going to add a couple of updates post jam focusing on polishing some of the animations and later on adding things like power ups, extra lifes and a boss battle to experiment a little bit with the design and make it a little bit longer to see where it can go.
Sounds cool! The styles so great, I think just that is worth experimenting with a bit more!
That hand-drawn style combined with the map scene is so nice. Took me a couple tries, but I got to the end, which had a cool sendoff. Was I able to attack those larger beasts? I'm guessing they were more of an obstacle? Those guys that swam diagonally were my true enemy :P
You can definitely hurt the big enemies but they have such a huge life bar that it's impossible to kill them, they were meant more as an obstacle as you mention, but i'm considering adding powerups to the game that might make it less impossible to kill them. Thanks for playing
I really love the art style on this. The color pencil on paper look is very nice. You interpretation of the mythical monsters was fun to see. The game play was simple and effective for the type of game it is. I think you have a very nice submission. I enjoyed your game.
"Here there be Monsters..."
This was a really cool looking game. I loved the aesthetic and the music fit it well.
Really big fan of the art style and premise of this. And the music is perfect. Great job on your game!
Nice art style
Beautiful game!
Awesome music choice really fits in! The art and music tie together pretty well too. Pretty fun game. Has a lot of chaos latter in the game.
Great look. I'd love to see this artful approach broadened into a fuller game. The mechanic is good, but some incentive to kill beasts, like an upgrade would make this just a bit more satisfying. Great job for such a short timespan. Keep up the good work!
Simple but cool at same time. You need to consider to continue the game with other levels and maybe with some boss fights; music and sound were good, congrats! ;)
Simple but cool style and I like how it is like a maritime painting that comes to life!
Amazing style choice, both with the sprites and the music as they are very well fitting together. Some mechanical depth would have been nice, but as a proof of concept for the style this rocks, congratulations!
Kudos for finding the art but i would have liked to see more mechanics.
Nice style to the game. It's pretty cool that you sampled art for this specific art style , if anything, I would suggest a bit more depth into the mechanics of the game.

Loved the design and the music. Awesome job on this one!
