This game needs more attention!

(I say, having only played through the first two days.)

It's really well done, a perfect mixture of monotonous paper work and paranormal threats to the human race. The routine printing out of forms in order to transcribe within them classifications for objects, entities and phenomena which cannot be explained.

But you know this, because you made it and it works so perfectly.*

* I did get a repeat from Day 1 on Day 2. And at the end of Day 2 the background noise partially drowned out the scripted dialogue.

Thanks so much for the kind words! Noted on the sound levels — but if by "a repeat" you mean you got a repeated case file, there might be a reason for that...😉

Engaging from start to finish, the game's captivating artwork and well-designed mechanics make for a unique and enjoyable challenge. Great job!

Really in depth and deep game well done!

Like others said, very polished work! Will return to play more slowly.. bad new agent

This is amazing! It is a polished game with lots of features and great voice acting! This is indeed one of the best games in this jam!

Really cool idea.
Nice and polished. A good moment here!

I LOVE THIS. I am so into games like this. I'm following you and this game in the hopes you keep developing it, I'd pay for a fully fleshed out version of this game with a better results screen and a progression system. Fav game I've played in this jam so far, great job.

I don't think there can be higher praise in a jam than wanting to see a full version. Thanks so much for the kind words and support! We have some other projects lined up at the moment, but we're definitely talking about expanding on Anomalous Intake at some point. You might want to follow our team account for eventual updates. Ahh, I can only say thanks so many times, but seriously, thank you!

Awesome, followed :)

Funnily enough, I've just started reading Lovecraft after borrowing a compendium from someone at work. Proved pretty useful here! Great fun, and the extra polish and presentation touches such as the voice acting and radio are superb! Great stuff! :)

very impressive!  as many have mentioned, the voice acting is a better than most AAA games.  and all of the details (references to everything from quantum physics to mythological folklore) made it a pleasure to dive into.  I'll admit, i didn't play for very long because it felt a bit like actual office work, but I'm assuming the game progresses beyond filling out reports correctly.  when I'm feeling more patient, I'll give it another go.  thanks for submitting such an original, humorous and intriguing game!

An amazing game! The adventure game vibe is incredibly potent, and we're already planning to return for a full playthrough when we have more time. The voice acting was truly exceptional, adding another layer of immersion to the experience.

I really enjoyed your unique project! The voice acting was very well done and loved the voice inflections. I feel that voice acting is hard to believe how difficult it is to sound good until you try it yourself and realize you sound monotone and awful haha. The radio was a fantastic addition and added to the immersion of sitting at the intake desk. I will look forward to getting better at this game with a fresh brain as this style of game is one I enjoy but when I'm well rested :D

Great work by your team!

The voice acting sounds so professional! The visuals were clean, and the storyline was so fleshed out. I can't believe that was all done in ten days! Nice job on the submission!

Wow, this is amazing! The voice acting adds a great touch, and I really love the writing and the story. This is a very unique and interesting take on the theme. Great job guys!!

Awesome game!

I really appreciate that there is full voice acting in this. That is definitely not an easy feat. Well done!

It did take me a bit to get a handle on what to do but full disclosure I haven't played any Papers Please or SCP Foundation (which seems to be the games I see referenced in the comments) so the fact that I was able to get up and running within a reasonable time is a huge accomplishment for the game.

The office radio is a nice touch and I think that just really helps set the mood as when I worked in an office job I had a coworker who loved his radio!

Really cool and unique entry! Nice work team!

The fact that you were able to get into it without being familiar with the game's touchstones is such a great sign. Thanks so much for the kind words, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This is a great concept, feels good to play. A lot of reading which is fine, but some may find that boring. Love it overall!

Incredible idea! The visual style is awesome. The voice acting is a very nice touch. Nice work!

Love the voice acting! The concept is really interesting too! (Feels like Paper's Please mixed with SCP Foundation stuff or something XD)

This is just a me thing but flipping back and forth between the guidebook & the papers feels less than ideal, would love if there was a quick switch button or some other ways to multitask (maybe like a split view mode?)

Overall it's a very interesting game, amazing job!

The feel of the game and the mechanics are great. I will say, I generally play games to escape paper pushing and avoid reading. I needed the civil servant test and Adderall to handle the "action." And... great work!

Voice acting in a game jam is just awesome to see (hear, i mean). Love the humor in the narrative.

The overall feel of the game seems very polished. Even the in-game tutorial was very well done. Controls were smooth, and minor touches like the tracking spotlight for focused items help.

I liked that you can skip the text flash, but the voice over lingers over and prevents you from progressing, sorta defeating the point. In terms of gameplay, this game feels like an office worker's "Papers Please"! A QOL suggestion would be progressively adding in concepts to grapple. The entire handbook at one go seems a lot to read and process (but is an accurate simulation of working life, i suppose if that's the satire).

Developer

Hey thanks for the feedback! The dialogue not progressing was a bug, fixed now :)
