Nice puzzler. Fun take on the theme. I've seen the "switch it on and off" puzzle before, but not with moving parts. I like it, and good job adapting it to the theme.

Sorry for the delay, been dealing with the flu again and had to rest/stay offline for a bit. 

I always liked the mini puzzles where you turn a light on and off and the closes 2 toggle as well, but they usually are in a circle shape or similar. A lot of games had them and it was made so it'd look and feel similar to that, without time or move limit constraints.

A fantasic puzzle game with a simple concept and a lot of depth. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of challenges presented. Great work!

I love this, would actually buy this game. 

Imho it would be nice to also have an "undo move" option, not just reset.

The plans for now are adding more levels, but the idea is to eventually bring it to steam and possibly mobile, too. Ideally I'd want it to be free here, but the steam or mobile version should be a paid one to cover costs at least (a accessible price for everyone, ideally), and also as a means of supporting me.

About the undo suggestion, I'll have to think about it, because the only system this game has to give you a score is the move cout, plus if you reset a level it also resets that back to zero. This was intended so you cold revert back to the original state without being punished for it. And while there is no undo for now, if you click again on the same light that you did last time, it will actually undo that, as it just reverses what you did, in that case. It was also part of the design, thus why I'll have to give it some thought.

Yep all you said makes sense, I guess my jam -addled brain didn't consider that. Trying to give it some more thought, I think what I actually wanted was not an undo button, but a way to understand "how the hell did I get to this situation". Maybe, if it doesn't clash with your design ideas, a replay button that replays all moves you took till now? It might actually also make for a nice end of level "reward" seeing all your light switching animated as a sequence?

I'm not sure how it'd work with longer runs, though. I have a few ideas that i'll test but this could take me a while to do properly, i want to solidify the core of the game, and see if something that i had in mind could work out for it.

Nice unique idea, loved the challenges of it also the glowing effect is great. Good job 👍

The glow is something I've been using for a long time now, and never made a full use of it until this project, it is also realtime, so the moving lights won't look weird. At first this worried me a bit specially due to the HTML build, but it seems to be fine. Or at least no one complained about performance issues, for now (fingers crossed).

Wow! Very interesting game. How did you achieve such a glowing effect? Is that your shader?

It's a standard lit shader from Unity's (2022 LTS) URP along with post-processing settings, I also didn't bake the lights, they are realtime, that way the moving ones don't act weirdly. I've made custom shaders for past projects but for this one fortunately i didn't have to.

Check this tutorial if interested, keep in mind mine are not baked and i didn't need to add a point light to any of the props, the emissive material is the only thing that i've needed for mine, set in a similar way:

Very neat! I like these kinds of games and I like how this one interacted with every touch. I felt like it was very well executed and a nice game mechanic you don't often see in a video game.  Great job

For this project i knew the kind of mechanic that i wanted to implement because my aim was to do a new genre that i didn't do before (most likely a puzzle game) and the first thing that came to mind when the theme was revealed was... well, lights. 
But i had to then figure out appropiate puzzles for it and it started being shaped from there. Since it's my first puzzle game, it ended up being a bit of trial and error until I've found patterns that worked. Making this project was a fun experience and I'm glad that you have enjoyed it.

Wow, this is really awesome! I loved the game idea so much and the aesthetics as well! I would love to see this as a game on Steam and mobiles since it has a unique idea. Good work!

I intend to turn it into a full game, for now a few levels (3 at least will be added), and after that I'll expand/turn it into a full game on my free time. The intention is to publish it on Steam and for mobile as well, but it could take me a while.

Very neat game! I'm terrible at these sorts of puzzles but I also enjoy them.

Normally I might suggest showing a final score for each level at the end of a game, but I sort of don't want to be reminded how long some of them took me... the final was 80!

That was great. I have made a puzzle game with the "affects all around" mechanic, but you took it to the next level with the moving pieces. very fun.

Excellent puzzle game, easy mechanics but deceptively hard :) Found myself getting better at predicting and learning the patterns for turning off the lights in a sequence (as opposed to my starting point of spamming and using brute force!). Loved the graphics - maybe just slightly oversaturated at some points, but really well done!

I guess it can be a bit too bright/oversaturated, but it was this or being almost the same as if the light was off, and i didn't have time for getting into making a custom shader, which also could've brung performance or even compatibility issues specially for the HTML version.

No problem and i get it, I made a puzzle game (it's on here Rayceptor) and had similar issues with trying to get the balance right on the lasers, you want it to stand out after all - in this case it really isn't a big deal, and given the time it's excellent.

A  very nice game, 

A puzzle game was a nice change of pace in a sea of last stand battle games.

The mechanics of the game were simple to understand and easy to get into.

The puzzles gave my brain something to chew on, and there was quite a bit of freedom in how to win.

Looks pretty neat, I like emissive.

Yeah, I felt like for this game jam a lot of games would involve survival or combat, and i wanted to do a genre that i've never done before, so I've decided to go with a puzzle/casual game. Tha main objective of the design was to make it simple but not too easy to master, yet still a casual game without time constraints and for it not to feel punishing. 

But, it would've been impossible to gauge/measure without some early testers feedback for things like time it took to complete, difficulty, and a weird behaviour found in the moving lights which could've made the puzzles harder to complete.

Thank you, I was worried it would be too bright due to modern monitors and HDR, and I've actually turned the brightness one notch down on the emissions (lights), and i think it was the right choice.

It's a cool puzzle game. Very interesting and mindbending to solve. Would love a bit of story to be introduced, as to why you're turning off these lights. Nice work!

To be honest, I didn't think of that since I've wanted the player to get into the game and get a feel for it, instead of having texts or similar. It was a design choice basically. However it is true that are other ways to make a story without texts, in example with a animation or events happening in the game. I'll give it some thought after my mind clears a bit.

This is a really cool puzzle game! Played till the end but my move count on the last stage was pretty high lol, I could see myself replaying and trying to do them in less moves. The variety in the levels were really nice. Great submission!

Yeah, the levels when designing them I was trying for them not to look/feel too repetitive. the mechanic itself is simple, so to be able to add some variation i've added variations such as the moving and bigger capsules. I'll eperiment a bit for the new three that i'll add, and maybe try with more asymmetrical levels as one user suggested.
