Awesome art and lighting effects!  Made me really feel like I was playing a Zelda dungeon!  Definitely a spooky one!

Amazing game! Nice gameplay and mood, with a thrilling soundtrack and effects. It really made me want to explore everything. Nice job with the lights and the puzzles! Incredible work!

Thank you so much!

The music and art style is amazing. The boss wrecked me immediately, 10/10 . there are some things in the game that would be nigh impossible on an actual GB but i doubt anyone would notice unless they work on GB Roms (the light ring around the player). That said this is very very fun and is just a good game in general. The light mechanic is very clever and unique. having to make the choice to drop the light and swing the sword or keep the light and run is exciting. Great job!

Thanks for giving our game a try!

I loved the game’s feel. At first, it was a bit annoying to drop the torch to fight, but I got used to it and started planning ahead. The art style and music are great, and the puzzles felt just right—not too easy and not too hard.

Thanks you! The “drop the torch to fight” mechanic was partially inspired by Doom 3 :D

That was great! The mechanics are competent and polished. The art and atmosphere is charming, yet disturbing; I especially like the final boss design!

The soundtrack is superb! It's gothic, foreboding, melancholic, and despairing in equal measure, and it complements the visual design excellently.

Fantastic! Great work!

Love the artwork and music and had fun playing this, although it was quite laggy and unfortunately crashed several times in browser so couldn't play it for long. I'm on Mac, so couldn't DL unfortunately.

Apparently there's an issue with Godot 4.0 web builds on Mac systems :(
Thanks for letting us know!

Great fun, with a fantastic soundtrack and gorgeous lighting effects! Definitely fits the spooky theme well - I jumped more than once when enemies caught me by surprise in the darkness. I particularly liked the section where you had to leave the torch behind in order to carry the key to the door - would love to see that idea expanded on if you revisit this post-jam!

Boss fight felt suitably challenging, but I managed to beat it after a few tries - appreciated the generous hitbox for the sword attack!

Thank you for playing and leaving the comment! <3

Delicious. I've struggled with some of the torch puzzles, but it was fun all the time

The lighting creates a pretty spooky ambience, good stuff!

reminds me of those old zelda games with the movement!!! really nice!! I really like the lighting system

Developer(+1)

Glad it reads as such cause we were going for the Zelda like with this one haha. Our dev truly outdid himself with the lighting mechanic, we (other team members) are in awe as well! Thank you!

Awesome. I can't believe there are just 4 colors. But I checked it with pixel color counter :)

I love the gameplay, the picture, and the sound.

Developer(+1)

We couldn't believe there are only 4 colors either! :D Thanks!
